What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

@chaoszerox: Aha, thanks for that Mido texture, it looks a lot better than the one I did. I have trouble blending things like that when I can't just smudge it around with my fingers, haha (smudge tool is failure).
Nice job with the Castle Market entrance texture, too. Especially since they have been bothering me for a while.

@death--droid: That last screenshot you posted looks great! I don't know what else to say, I just really like them.

On another subject, there are a lot of NPC's whose hair textures look like this:
2iaza5l.png

But they use a different file. Would anyone mind if I varied the colors on each one a bit? Nothing crazy, like bright blue hair or something, but maybe lighter/darker shades of red, some brown, dark blonde, stuff like that?

can you be a bit more specific on what NPCs they are? I think it should be fine as long as they aren't important NPCs

I took my time and removed the rupee with a transparent PNG and made sure the mini-map wasn't on when I took the screenshot, this again wasn't easy

I made a quick placeholder for the foreground buildings, purely a placeholder...

You can easily see where the game wraps the texture around to make 2 extra 'walls' if you will, just look where the straight lines on the texture shift angle in the screeny

If anyone cares, this was the base pic

I'm thinking something along the lines of a medieval building similar to this one, I looked around some sites and I saw some nice models of medieval buildings that we might be able to use for this.....but they weren't free models D:

EDIT: Anyone want to buy me this? only 360-500$!!!

XD Good luck finding someone willing to buy that for you chaoszerox.
Also if your going to do the foreground you are going to have to make sure it corresponds the graphics used in the market and so on.

EDIT:I might try getting more detail into those textures i made.
EDIT2:
Hopefully my last revision on the tile textures.

Not all of the textures load for me. In fact, very few load. Any idea why? I'm running Windows 7, PJ64 v1.6 and Rice's Video Plugin 6.1.1 beta 10. Does it work better on PJ64 v1.7?

Gah, sorry, I haven't been working on this very much the last few days. :/

can you be a bit more specific on what NPCs they are? I think it should be fine as long as they aren't important NPCs
Let's see...

-Cucco lady (I'll leave her alone since she's important in Majora, plus I think she shows up in another game)
-that "please... with C" guy
-the twin mustache guys (blue shirt, red shirt)
-female dancer (the two who NEVER stop dancing)
-that guy who is on the tower in Kakariko (as adult) and in the market on a balcony (as kid)
-guy in kid Link's bazaar who talks about like-likes
-some of the loiterers in the back alley

Probably more?

Mmm... Retextures....
Any chance of this pack being converting to be used with Project 64 v1.7? I think it would really great to have something like work with this hi-res pack.

Does that give additional viewing area? or is it just stretching eveything like I think it is...

I'm quite sure it's the plugin used in pj64 1.7....If we could only see the source *sigh* it's not like they're doing anything with it
try running pj64 with admin privlages or right click run as admin, also use this plugin maybe?

Also we all know everyone is getting 1.7 illegally because the site isn't accepting donations for downloading 1.7, yes I have it illegally too :)

It does give additional viewing area. You can see it a little better in That's the reason I want this to work with v1.7. These aren't my videos so I can't test the 1964Video or Glide64 plugins to get a resolution like this currently. I just want to see OoT at it's full potential with an Eyefinity setup, Hi-Res Textures, and (hopefully one day even though no one is working on this) see implementation of Zelda Reorchestrated audio in-game. OoT surpasses Twilight Princess in gameplay, but I want to also see it surpass Twilight Princess in terms of graphics and audio quality.

The pack will not be being converted for use with the Project 64 v1.7 video plugin it will only remain compatible with Rice Video(aka 1964Video) and Glide64.

Well then I hope Glide64 or 1964Video implement widescreen and triple monitor resolutions like Project 64 v1.7's graphics plugin (5040x1050). Now if only there was a way to implement ZREO audio into OoT...

Yeah, it would be amazing to implement this widescreen fix in 1964Video or Glide64. Booting up Ocarina of Time and seeing it in 1920x1080 without being stretched was amazing, and it actually felt more comfortable than simply using high-resolution textures. Other games aren't stretched either by default, and just use black bars to maintain the aspect ratio. It gets the most out of a widescreen monitor without having to stretch it.

@dartdude6 there was a implementation of wide screen support with Rice Video linux which i was thinking of porting back to the windows one.
