What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

The rock wall is a detailed texture, good job :) I think the color is a bit more washed out than necessary in the red oval (see screenshot). The color in the blue oval would look better, if you asked me. I hope that helps!

Mode7,

I always hate to say something that someone spent allot of time on is not great, ...and the way the texture is used all over must make it a PITA to find a good "all around" texture for it, but... this is my take on this texture...

It looks to "noisy", ie: like a TV channel that isn't getting good reception. It looks good from FAR away, but not close up. The lighter dots all throughout was the first thing I noticed that made me think, but with a few more moments of looking at it, the whole texture is made up of noisy dots.

I know a texture that is to clear wouldn't fit, but I would look for something a little clearer. ;)

Also, what texture size are you using?

BTW: Most of your work is outstanding! :)

TTYL,
Jay

I don't really know. I just go on as long as it's fun but OoT is huge. At the moment I'm stuck with goron city. I just can't figure out how to do this textures

Yeah, well what with all the different things like cave art and all others, i would have to agree that goron city would have a lot more textures than most.

It's not the numer of textures, it's the way how they are done.
Difficult to recreate, I probably will have to paint them by hand

Try downloading similar styled art and using those. Either brushes, shapes, or just regular images. I used some celtic and tribal art for the water temple. I did recreate some by hand (well..pen tool), but it took aaaaages, and really kills the fun, especially if you can't get a good final product.

I'm sure you'll do a good job, you've been doing a hell of a good job so far. Unfortunately, I can't continue, not for the next 6 months anyway.

I want to get back into it though, definitely. I'll see if I can fit some time in between, but I really doubt it.

Could someone post the original textures? I need them for a project and can't seem to find any Linux apps to dump them.

Bad news folks!
When I looked into my texture folder, there are no files anymore. I tried Checkdisk and it found some errors but it didn't fix the problem. I could access a few files in PS (but not anymore), which were in subfolders so they probably still there. But I have no Idea how to deal with that problem. Strangely enough this only affects the Zelda Folder.
