  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

really simple :

1) you have a image file (that you want cut) (ex: logo.png)
2) you have a method to cut image to files (ex: logo-0-0.png, logo-1-0.png, ...)
3) create a batch file to rename files (ex: move logo-0-0.png "MARIOKART64#01234567#2#1_all.png")

for the cut method, I can't help you on photoshop... but with The Gimp, you can use some guide and cut with Massicot...

Well, my images are already cut in half via batch-processing a cropping action with Photoshop CS. My problem is now I have a folder full of new images and a folder full of old. When I find the old image I want to replace, I have to go through the process I mentioned in my previous post (otherwise I'd lose track of which ones I've replaced or whatever). I wish I could just drag my new file onto my old one and have it replace it lol. However, it doesn't work that way in windows... maybe linux does though or maybe I'm missing something in Windows. In any case, I'm working on a method involved Dreamweaver in which I align the images and replace them in the same folder they were originally in... Dreamweaver links to the original file if you have it in a project so I can just click on the image I have and find the name so I know what to name the new replacement. Here is an example of what I'm talking about:

on the maps

soniclink, I was thinking that maybe it would be better to alpha the outer parts of the maps out, and leave only the actual map area visible. To me, having that entire square area seems like clutter. It would certainly look cleaner.

Just to get back into the main topic. The guys over at 1Emulation.com are making a website for this pack. It's looking amazing, i'll post a WIP ASAP.

i just downloaded the pack and my emu keeps saying "unable to read ini files from disk" when i click setting to change the graphic plug in

Well yeah, just bare in mind that i've got lots of studying to do. And KMan is working very hard in the development of a game, so he's busy as well.

Yeah. I do check these boards often though. I'm just pretty swamped right now. And if I do anything now it'll probably be character related.

*Notices KMan's sig* How does that 4GB of RAM work for you, KMan? Since it looks like you have 32bit windows, I've heard it has trouble addressing over 3.2GB or something like that. I'm curious what your experience has been and also in what situations you use that much RAM.

btw, I have 2GB's of RAM (2*1GB)

Oh yeah. When I updated that info I forgot to put in the new OS I got with the extra 2 gigs. Sorry for any confusion that may have caused the general public.

And I can eat through that pretty easily, with 3ds Max, Photoshop, Thunderbird, Firefox, mIRC, Gaim, Steam and the game I'm working on in the background while listening to winamp, or a dvd running on the side. :-S

I havent been able to read all... 178 pages of this so Im sorry if this was mentioned before, can some one help me with this problem? There is somekind of wierd lighting problem on some people and rocks... Im not too good at explaining it but I took some screens...and pathways kind of flicker

does anyone have real updates here? all i have seen these past days/weeks is HUD and item screen stuff...and DO NOT yell at me for saying it, like OF COURSE IT HAS BEEN UPDATES YOU IDIOT, MORON etc. i am just asking for real updates here. if anyone get´s annoyed of it, then SHUT UP! it´s just a simple question, just say yes or no! i´m sick of these kind of people i meet in forums and chat rooms who think they are so smart and think they can call a person anything he wants just because that person was wrong or, in this case asks a question. just give me an answer and don´t act like a smartass. and i didn´t call anyone that, just so you know it.

EDIT: i´m sorry guys, i just had to clear the air a bit.

Hey there, I am new to this retexturing scene I am really excited. I just got a real quick questions.

1. Is there a newer update than the one in the first post?

I new this may have been answered already but I am not going to read through a 179 pages to find it. sorry
