Holy Crap dude!!!
I'm in NSW in Australia and I only pay $59 a month for unlimited everything.
I feel for you.
I had heard a lot of Ausie ISPs limit downloads per month. Somewhere within the realm of 3GBs or so. Do you get 'good' deals in your area, or have most ISPs changed their tune in recent years and begun providing unlimited bandwidth?
But truely, broadband access is a very limited option in most of the world, and even in many larger countries. Here in the US it is estimated only about 10 percent of internet service accounts are broadband. DSL and cable, where it is provided, are ussually reasonable in price, but I know many places simply hose their customers.
Regarding distrobution, I'll be hosting the pack on Direct Connect. If anyone is interested in grabbing it in that way. I only have a 25KB/s upload, and about half of that will be dedicated to the inevitable torrent. If anyone is fond of Direct Connect, give me a PM and I'll send along info for the hub I ussually frequent. If you're not a fan, or don't know of Direct Connect, please abstain, because it doesn't swarm files like BT. In other words, you have to wait until the next X number of people in line finish their download from me, but it could be a nice alternitive for dial-up users, since I can easily accomidate their downstream bandwidth and DC transfers resume nicely. Also, if anyone knows of an emulation (nintendo/N64 specific) hub, let me know. I'd like to drop by there and help promote/distribute this to people who are interested but may not have heard of the project.
