  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I have a question! Is it possible to be played, without the orkin's plugin (Using rice's plugin)?

Just keep in mind that with Rice's plugin, while the hires textures will be loaded, you won't get the cel-style lighting that Orkin is putting into his plugin.

I am so glad to know that this texture pack is done. I would have killed myself waiting had I known about this project earlier. I've seen many of the screenshots and I think they look great. However, I am worried if I can play this on my computer. I'm already familiar with emulation, and often times, some N64 graphics won't display correctly on my computer because of its poor graphics card. I was wondering if that will be a major factor here, despite the fact that the textures are all there and just need to be rendered.

Will I also need any extra plugins? Thank you for any support.

It'll take... I dunno...half an hour max for me(taking lag and traffic into consideration)? With this connection I can download at about 180-200kbps max...

Please don't make it Torrent only..I can't stand BitTorrent, nobody seeds.

Yeah, a couple extra pixels and maybe an extra dose of anti-aliasing. If they are nice they might add 4x texture smoothing.

BTW: Djipi, your pack sets a precedent for the retexturing community. You are the first to complete a game and completely change it. Your name will resound throughout the emulation community. Yes, you gain the honor of being a household name like Jabo, Smiff, Rice, etc.

Uhh... have you even looked at the number of replies and pageviews this thread has had? Trust me; there would be plenty of seeding.

Umm... I never really got to understand how torrents work. Can anybody explain to me about Torrents and seeding? (You can PM me or e-mail me so we don't fill this thread with more rubish)

I dont want a torrent either. Couldn't you guys just post it on some other website? That or someone putting it on a file sharing program (LIMEWIRE!) would be good.

Congrats to Djipi for finally finishing this thing.

Jeez aibrubusfosusej 5 days? Is your computer connected to the internet with a string and a can?

Oh, and if Nintendo did buy this and did put this on the Revo, they would have to pay Djipi and all the others who worked on this a good sum of money dont you think?:naughty: If Nintendo did do something like this, they would probably make their own cel shaded OoT.:down:

You´r absolutely right about that, loopsider.
And it´s also really amazing how much people care about each other in this tread, i have never, in my 6 1/2 years of emulation experience ever seen something like this. Djipi gives the bad new of his PERSONAL life, and people really cares, and i think that is amazing. And Djipi, i hope everything turnes out the best for you and your wife, and congratulations on finishing the pack!:bouncy:

We're really sentimental here at Emutalk :bye3: We're talking here about Djipi. It's not like talking about any other person nobody cares about. Djipi has proven himself that he is a great graphic artist in terms of retexturing games, specially in giving old games new feelings (wind waker style with some "Djpied" style). He made this game feel different but still with the flavour of the original, and he is even the FIRST person to complete a retexturing project. That has made him earn a lot of respect in the retexturing community, so it's no wonder why we all care about his personal life.

Hey, that's mean. Some of us don't have a lightning quick internet with 24 hours a day to download:p . I don't know about you, but i don't leave my computer on overnight to download things. It would take at the VERY LEAST 3 days. I'm running a 56k and using Getright to continue my downloads, so PLEASE don't host it anywhere where i won't be able to do that. Am I the only one:bye3: ?
