  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

any chance of screenshots with all the items in place, especially the heart, I need to make sure all the items look ok on the new backgrounds. Djipi could you help, I imagine you have the items remade in your new style...

Is it just me, or could those menus be substantially brighter? Great work, mdtauk, but I can barely see anything when they're in game. Jack the brightness! :D

@ Djipi: It would be good to have the latest packs in your first post (use edit), so one doesn't have to search the whole thread for downloadable stuff :)
BTW: When is the next pack ready? :D

sorry, but it still having a black line in the middle...

A question: Do you guys have boss names on english? I noticed the "Vocania" name of the fire temple boss, in english is "Volvagia". Not only that, maybe other bosses like "Phantom Ganondorf" or some other i dont remember.

It will be cool if the boss name is coloured like places names, here is an example: When you enter Water Temple it says "Water Temple" with some aqua effects (on new packs). I am just suggesting if you could make names like "Bongo Bongo" (shadow temple boss) with some dark effects, and with many languajes as french, german and engilsh.

Djipi. I'd recommned you hold out until completion. This isn't quite like releasing textures for kokori village to give people and idea of what to expect. You're almost finished. Releasing a near complete package will result in multiple circulations. You're almost done, so what's the problem with making all of us wait another few weeks/month or two? I am as anxious to see this as anyone else, but I'd rather a single texture package be floating around out there. It'll just make the quality of the work seem much better, since random Joes who don't even know about this project won't have the opportunity to find texture packs that are mostly, but obviously incomplete. That just produces a sense of unprofessionalism. :)

Your call, but I think it would help us all, including yourself, if you don't make a release until you have anything taken care of, for certain.

Yes! no more need for multiple pack downloads, not knowing if you are going to run into something you missed, then looking everywhere to find it.

Now let me explain both here and in the Djipi thread, how I am going to finish all these text tiles.

I am getting bogged down and complicating things for myself. I am going to work on one at a time for now on, and Federelli's pack comes first.

Fed I have found the exact font used for the Menus in OoT. Here are all the fonts I have found, with what they are used for and what they are called...

LeiSho
Used for the Locations in Twilight Princess, not used in OoT or TWW

Kokinedo - Extra Bold
Used for the Boss Names in OoT, not used in TWW or TP

RocknRoll - Bold
Used for the Dialogue in TWW, not used in OoT or TP (this was the font I thought was used for the menu in OoT before Federelli)

Chiaro - Bold
Used for the Dialogue, Item Names, Locations in OoT, not used in TWW or TP

Rodin - Various Weights
Used for the dialogue in TP and used for the Menus in OoT, not used in TWW

These arent full fonts, just individual letters. I am having to piece words together letter by letter which is why it takes so long.

My Timetable
I am setting up new folders on the computer, moving completed work into the new folders, then working on Fed's tiles.

Once I am finished with Fed's work, I will go on to work on Djipi's text tiles and screens.

I will start a new thread with all of my finished work in it. I will do Ocarina of Time Style Text and Menus, The Wind Waker Style Text and Menus, and finally I will make Twilight Princess Style Text and Menus, for anyone to use if they want to work on a Twilight Princess Texture Pack, high res, realistic not keeping to the original style...

Constantly working on two sets at the same time is doing my head in, and I need a fresh start to focus my work, so I will post in a new thread, so I dont get confused...

Well, here is your map ingame (God, I hate trying to piece these things together). It's looks fantastic! The only problem is that the top and bottom are cut off by the edge. Not fatal, but kind of strange. All in all, a Great Job!
BTW, the clouds are a seperate texture, so there is only one map texture.

Maybe, you can eliminate the cloud texture altogether (leave it transparent), since Wind Waker had no such clouds.
