  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

Its not his thread, its a thread he created sure, but once the post button has been clicked it becomes property of Emutalk.net.

Regardless, Glide64 with its new texture dumping and reloading functions is a far sight better then Rice video with its broken LOD, broken combiners and FBE faults.

death is just sore that his rice video revival failed to catch on.

The initial post was not an advertisement anyway, it was to state that the latest Glide64 makes dumping and testing textures easier, which for what its worth, Goes towards helping the project. Its no different to saying that Photoshop is the better tool to use, compared to PDN.

Fine, I'll rephrase:

I'm with death--droid. I really don't want to hear about Glide64. Now that two people have asked, please stop talking about it. There's really no further need to discuss your opinion on the matter, especially since no one argued that fact in the first place.

Edit: You know what, never mind. It's not worth discussing... you just do whatever you want. People are capable of ignoring what they don't really care about anyway, so it makes no difference.

Anyways, here's the goron gauntlet:

I know it looks blurry, but it looks good when it's scaled down a bit. EDIT: Is still faintly blurry, but the average person won't notice, and no one will care.

Just so y'all know, these images I'm uploading already have the appropriate filename. You can just (right-click, save as) save the image in the texture folder and it'll work.

I really don't care. what YOU, don't want to hear, it was posted for those who are interested in dumping textures easier, therefore, your wants are overlooked for the sake of others who do wish for the added functions.

@Lewa--yeah, I wouldn't worry about the blurryness... no one will notice in-game. And the bridge thing is no big deal--I may be wrong about it being done already... I'm too lazy to look and see.

I prefer this topic to just be about the re-texture project please.
I don't care if no one wants to use Rice Video and it wasn't my revival in the first place but i don't plan on discussing it here so if you want to continue please pm me.

The shield rim is a lot better but the quality still doesn't seem quite right comparing to the middle of the shield.Good work tho.

Man, I wish it would work with images that were 3x the original. Oh,well.
I was a bit apprehensive about this one, since the game is named after it:

Honestly, I don't see anything drastically wrong with it, but then again, it is very small... have you tried working at 4x? I don't think ANY textures are accepted at 3x original size... if I remember right, it's 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 and 128x.

Also, did you ever play around with the rupee again? If not, and you want to upload the Photoshop file, I can work on it.

Yeah I won't bother with 3x. It's just that at 2x, it's a bit stretched (at 1240x1024), and it looks pixelated when clased down from 4x. Looks fine though, so whatever.

Anyone good with hair? I was playing it earlier today at the scene with ganondorf chasing Zelda and impa on the horse. This is the first really epic scene in zelda, and gandondorf is the centerpiece of it. However, it's a bad hair day when you hair consists of 1/2inch pixels, and I can't stand even for a villian to have such a bad day. I'm not good with organic stuff, only objects I gess.

I'm kinda in the same boat as you Lewa. I'm no good with living things. Especially faces and hair... actually, anything that has to do with human form is beyond me.

You mean, We should get Zeckron to work on Ganondorf?

@Zeckron: Link looks really good over all. IMO, though, I don't particularly like the eyes when he is an adult. I think you should more/less trace the original shapes. That's what I do with my textures, generally.
I can do Most of ganon's stuff. Just no hair. Ever. Not soon, anyway. That is a talent to come :D

@Lewa - more awesome work my friend. I'm very impressed! You seem to have a knack for it, and really I'm jealous b/c you're churning out more textures at a fast pace than anyone else! Congrats!

@Death--Droid - think I should work on Epona eh? Your faith in me is really a compliment, so thank you for that!

I finally got Photoshop (Hooray!!!) and have spent the past several days tinkering with it and learning as much as I can. I'm almost finished with the few missing textures from Lake Hylia and was planning on moving into the Lake Side Laboratory next. After that, I'll be happy to play with Epona though I think she'll be quite a challenge. But I'm up for it, so again thank you for the vote of confidence!

Thanks a ton :) I'm kinda Impatient, so I genereally find a way to do fast work (or find work that can be done fast).

Glad you have photoshop. One of my favorite things in Photoshop is the layer settings, whre you can easily control drop shadow, beveling, textures etc.
