What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

Then use rice video :p
The wrapper for glide 64 probably isn't Windows 7 compatible.
EDIT:
Ok from now on all the packs uploaded by me is going to include a authors list.
If you want your real name put next to your username either post it here or pm me with it.

@Railroads:: I was planning on doing the water temple down the road (my plan was to work through the game and retexture all the dungeons except the deku tree), but with my busy schedule right now, I gladly welcome the help--it's one more dungeon off my list!

If you have any questions or problems, we're all here to help. And there's the guides and tutorials Mode7 posted before leaving for Africa.

If I can give some advice... at least download one of the older retexture packs (there are some that are smaller in size) so you can get a feel for how we approach retexturing... I recommend the Hyrule Castle pack, which has some elements that are slightly similar to things in the water temple (water, some bricks, rocks, etc.). Link: http://www.n64redux.com/userfiles/mode7/Hyrule castle.rar

Good luck, can't wait to see how it turns out!

More wonderful issues...

OK I know this one has been discussed in a couple of areas on the forum, but none of the solutions have worked for me...

There are a few static backgrounds that load as gray and green pixels. Examples include the area between the Market town and Hyrule field (where the camera is up high, looking down) and the top-down shot of Link's house. I have no idea how to fix it, but it's bothering the crap out of me. I'm using 1964 and Rice. I've tried 4 different roms now, from different versions of the game (1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and MQ). Not sure what else to try.

Then there's an issue with the Equipment subscreen on the menu, where there's supposed to be an image of Link holding selected equipment. It looks like a jumbled mess of random textures...

Uploaded newer files that includes textures that weren't in the pack uploaded by mode7.
This tho now requires the use of 7Zip to read the archive files since they are split.

Nope there not in mode7's links.
You have to use my links which require 7Zip to read the files because there split.
Its got over more then 37mb more onto it thats why i used 7Zip it gave me the best compression rate :p

Links are always good... but it's like attaching files to an email... I always forget to do it, so I look like a moron when I send the second email later with nothing but an attachment...
