Hi

Rice has great plugins , some problems are core related ,hopefully will they be worked on. Still some more games i would like to see emulated that are not.I have noticed improvments in opengl as well as directx modes . beetle adventure now has the best car texture in this new plugin.the sparkle has went out of the cars on roadsters but the color is still good .I play these in opengl mode and i have to say i have used opengl plugins in the past and these newest updated Rice video plugins are the best i have ever seen.I guess im hooked on opengl now lol .Oh and btw offroad challenge has worked with sound and ran perfectly since 1964 .99 came out , for me anyhow.

My old MX is still working good with all plugins ,Thanks

Just wanted to post a pic of madden 2002. with counter factor set to 2 the game plays perfect from what ive seen so far. no herkyjerky movement.
same goes for madden 64.

Just some bugs to report:

WCW Backstage Assault: Can not see menus or start up logos

WCW vs nWo World Tour: Can not see menus or start up logos

Space Invaders: When you get the sheild the ship turns into a black sqaure and when you get hit by enemy the ship exploded has a huge black square.
(I'll compare pictures with the GBA version so people know what its supposed to look like)

PGA European Tour: Can't see the power go up in the power bar when hitting ball and cant see 1st startup screen.

Battlezone - Rise of the Black Dogs (U) [!] I can finally get ingame with this. Thanks rice! Textures are messed real bad. Kind of playable. Jaba's is perfect in the menu like the earth looks like earth but worser ingame the rice. Rice's the menu is totally messed up except for pause menu. The ingame is better but still not playable. I hope you get this game working better. You must of did something to get it playable for me. Which I'm happy for thanks.

Rice your dedication is incredible!!! I think we may have the first fully compat plugin for the 64 at this rate!!! Amazing to see games running full speed (win mode) on my p111 877 gf2mx!!! I honestly think there are only a handful of probs left to fix (these cause all the probs). I think tho that in the future maybe look at a fast framebuffer tech (if there is one?). anyways hats off to you and keep up the fantastic work. Its really great to see these games come to life with your plugin!

Beetle adventure racing : well I find that the texture1hack in the ini files of Rice plugin caused the grey sky in limited 3 (but some textures screw up if you erase this option...) and caused with every combiner (from limited 2 to pixel shader) the castle transparent (by erasing the texture1hack option in the ini file the castle have the good textures). May be that could help a bit ... Don't know ....

You got to try different "Frame Update At" options.

You need to enable "Force Buffer Clear" option, if it is not enabled yet for your ROM.

The black square may be a telltale sign that the alpha blender is disabled.
Squares are a typical symptom of the alpha blender being disabled.
Make sure the alpha blender is enabled.

Could also be because he's using a TNT2 :( Hopefully it is Alpha Blender for his sake.

Edit// The huge black square on explosion is unaffected by Alpha being on or off (tested it just)

Extreme-G XG2 (U) [!] graphics are to messed up to play in latest video plugin. Works perfect in jabo. Jabo and Rice would make the perfect partners. I'm always switching between each one. Rice is still better for most games but for some games I have to switch to Jabo.

Text unreadable in Banjo-Tooie.... see the screenshot... posted a savestate too...
Using default settings and PixelShader.
Banjo Tooie Save State *Use right click > Save as (the server don't allow external links) or copy link and paste....

Here's an idea. People are posting issues about different games, which is great. However, half of the issues have already been solved by switching around the settings. I realize that if people would just read through the thread, their problems would all be answered, but lets be honest, most people don't. What I propose is a sticky thread dedicated to all of the settings for each game people have gotten to work with the latest rice. Then people can start from a known good state and play around to see if they can get it to work even better. I'd be willing to start that thread and maintain it if people would be willing to post their settings for games....

Good idea...... RiceVideo5.4.x.ini Settings thread.... with the new Rice Video options will be great some optimal settings......
