What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

...?

I didn't quite follow that. Are you saying the tiles are harder to place? It's the one-image settings that aren't showing up. I think I missed something...

I have been lurking here for about 5 months now, but registered today. I have a few questions.

1) Will the texture pack be released very soon for the public?
2) Is it 100% celshaded now? (including temple of time)
3) Is dijip using a beta version of orkins plugin when doing this?
4) is orkins plugin the only way of playing oot with these textures?

1) Yes...we hope...
2) The textures are 100% completed, including the temple of time; but, for now at least, the Rice video plugin won't load it, and a few other things.
3) Yes, usually. And it's very beta.
4) No, you can use Rice's plugin for now (make sure to download the beta 10 file and the .dll file). But Orkin's plugin will be the only way to get the actual "cel-shaded" effect, e.g., the cool cartoony lighting.

1) It will be release soon to the public, once Djipi gets home and his net connection back.
2) All the textures from OoT have been Celda-fied, however, pre-rendered areas like ToT entrance, Market Entrance etc etc cannot be put into the game due to limitations of Rice's/Orkin's Plugin. However, I'm sure they'll bundled in regardless (to save time when a fully working plugin is released)
3) Yes
4) No, you can also use Rice's latest plugin to use these textures, however Orkin's plugin is the only one that can make the models cel-shaded as well.

EDIT: Damn you sausageman >.>

thank you for answering my questions. I assume that Project 64 is used as the emu?

I would actually see a video of this in motion. I saw a little clip released by Dijip, but is there anything more available? :)

I thought it was a matter of peice by peice figuring out wich strip of render goes where...wich is almost impossiable with alot of N64 games unless the plugin can figure out wich strips to dump as one image (or easier to fit together peices)

Rice's plugin dumps the entire Hyrule entrance scene, not in strips. Don't know about the other ones. It just won't import them back.

Bwahaha! Trogdor strikes again!

Hmmm...after doing much painful searching throughout this topic, I thought it might be nice to stick all the current packs in one spot, while we wait for the final one. Gives us something to mess around with for the time being. :p

Every Cel-Zelda Pack So Far:
Cel Pack V 0.1 (Kokiri Forest and Misc.)
Arbre (Great Deku Tree)
Flamme (Fire) [Note: There is already a folder in Cel Pack V 0.1 that has "Flamme" in it, I suggest you overwrite it with this one.]
HUD (Heads Up Display)
Logo (Logo)(duh)
Plaine Hyrule (figure it out)
Djipi Cel Pack V 0.3 (Lots o' text, all in French)
Temple Foret (Forest Temple)
Caverne Dodongo (Dodongo Cavern)
Bombe (just take off the 'e' and you've got it :p )

I believe that's everything. I almost hope the final pack doesn't come too soon so all my work isn't for naught. :p But hey, this might be useful anyway.

And if you are new here and have no idea how to use this stuff, go here.

Might just be first generation N64 games that are peiced in strips then. Starfox...and Mariokart 64 for instance do that for alot of things.

Maybe you could upload your pack there, Djipi : www.megaupload.com
The limit size is 250 mo (if the size is more than 250, just split your file with winrar). This site is pretty slow (20 kb/sec) but everyone can download your pack at the same time without the server to crashes.
Voilà :p

My server would not crash, it's very reliable.

And if more people offer to host the file then people would be able to choose from more than one location.

Mine is hosted in the UK and would be faster for people in the uk, I presume TS_Death_Angel lives someplace else??
