What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

You've done great work on this pack Djipi. If you want hosting, im up for hosting the file(s) for a while atleast, untill I feel that the files are to old and noone sees or dld's em anymore.

So just tell me if you want me to host the file(s).

Cheers

AAGH! IT'S BEEN A WHOLE DAY SINCE THE LAST UPDATE I'M GONNA FREAK OUT!!1!oneone

No, seriously, I just had a thought while playing through all the packs we got so far...I believe someone said that Rice's plugin won't load fixed interiors, is that still the case? Aren't there some fixed exteriors, too? (marketplace, temple of time) It seemed like somebody got it to work with SOMETHING, I just don't know what.

It seems like the ones that are just one image, like the Temple of Time exterior for example, cannot be replaced. Ones that are broken up into smaller textures, like the market place, and Link's house, can be replaced.

NOOOOOOOO!! Mdtauk's Temple of Time was so freaking amazing!!

But yeah, I actually just answered my own question, I couldn't load the overview of Link's house, but I could get some tiles from the wrap-around view.

And, I was able to do this:

My first foray into hirez texturing! YES!

Well, technically, nothing can be "cel-shaded" in Rice's plugin, as that has to do with lighting. But yeah, that means those textures can't be loaded. Apparently. Which sucks.

lol...
And dose that mean that the Temple of Time cant be Cellshaded in Rices plugin!?!... But in Orkin's it should!?!

Neither. I don't believe the prerendered backgrounds are shaded.

What would help is a fullscreen smooth filter like PSX emulation. They greatly help the prerendered scenes for FF VII and Chrono Cross. Though of course, never making it cell-shaded or mdtauk-quality.

oh man! I really was looking forward to mdtauks's new prerendered images... So there is no way that they will work?! Please find a way, the already prerendered ones don't match your WW style

Heh, well, you'll have to get used to things not fitting, because there are a number of things that can't be changed (models, fixed locations, the sky will look a little strange, etc.). It sucks, but there you go.

Not that it won't be amazing, because I believe I've already established that it will be well beyond amazing. But it won't be perfect, and it can't be perfect. 'Tis the nature of the beast.

The problem above is a loading problem - not a shading problem. Obviously, I haven't used Orkin's plugin yet, but I think it will load the prerendered backgrounds properly, and I'm guessing Rice could probably make it possible for his to do so as well (though I don't know how much work it would entail). Don't worry - those textures won't have been rendered in vain. :p

I thought it was a matter of peice by peice figuring out wich strip of render goes where...wich is almost impossiable with alot of N64 games unless the plugin can figure out wich strips to dump as one image (or easier to fit together peices)
