What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.
  • As members seem to have a problem reading the release threads:

Djipi's packs are built for the (Glide64 finale) Plugin. Nolonger supported!
Djipi's packs are built for the (GlideN64) Plugin.
These two Plugins are two completely different pieces of code.

GlideN64.HTC archived packs locked by Djipi are not compatible with use on Glide64, Rice video, nor Jabo video.

Glide64.DAT archived packs locked by Djipi are not compatible with use on GlideN64, Rice video, nor Jabo video.

Djipi has never made a pack for use with Rice video and never will. any packs found in this format are not authorized!

GlideN64 is the new standard and only requires an Radeon 6XXX.
This is a somewhat older GPU and should be readily available.
Do everyone a favor and upgrade!

Excuse my language: Are you fucking shitting me? Did you even try it? Does it work right? Doest thou computah sucketh?\:D/

My computer "sucking" would not be the issue here. The framerate is up to par; the new textures are up-and-working just fine. It just doesn't look that much better than the original game on my tv... and I even have it hooked up through the s-video port.

I´ve thinking a lot about the problem of textures...
The problem could be the version of the Super Smash Bros Rom.
If we use different versions, maybe the emulator don´t call some textures because the name it´s different.
If they show us the version of the rom the solution of this problem will be near.

EDIT:I´ve asked in the aristotel´s rice plugin , and the awser is that if some textures are 32x more than the original the plugin needs a change or update...
Are these textures 32x more bigger than the original?

A new version of the video plugin has been released that should fix this issue. The dev. thread for Aristotle's new video plugin is in the "Plugins" sub-forum.

Not to be nosey... but what do you need the old dumps for? And do you need all of the levels or just a couple because I guess I could dump a couple for you even though it's really easy to do.

I'm making a collection of Smash Bros. levels for SSBB with a program called Stage Studio. Currently, I've finished converting every level from the debug menu of SSB, and just need to make SSBM's missing levels. I wanted every backround (not including the bonus levels) so I could use them for the level preview images. I would have used the original small backround pack if it weren't the fact that I am a perfectionist.

It would be nice if someone could create these backrounds for me, I will notify people of their help taking care of the boring work during the release of the pack...

Just a reminder, I would like help dumping the backround textures as they would appear in-game (please.) Currently the project is at a stand-still until something comes up.

Just because it has nothing to do with 1964, doesn't mean that you can't help me, right?

Hey guys.

First off I want to thank you guys for all your work on this amazing texture pack. I have always believed that SSB:64 was the best Smash in terms of gameplay and the responses I got back from those people (idiots) were:

"Dude 64 has shitty graphics".

Can't argue with that, its not like graphics are that important anyway right?

WRONG.

Looking at this texture pack pretty much made me jizz in my pants and you guys deserve more than just thanks from random forum-dwellers...

Oh btw, I'm kind of having trouble running the texture pack. I know all the how-to-dos with texture packs in general, but I was just wondering what options needed to be enabled in the [Rice Video Plugin 6.1.1 Beta 10] --> [Current Game Options].

Because _pm_'s texture pack (http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?t=26284) worked fine with some tweaks, but Super Smash HD glitches to death!

Sorry and profuse thanks!
