  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

Comparision of place holder Spiny and final Spiny. Final is hand drawn (or mouse drawn I suppose) of course, as are most of the new final textures.

Subtle little changes like bolder colors along with higher resolution add so much to the end product.

For those wondering, the water texture (which is identicle to the lava texture) also got a resolution bump. Although, bolder colors with the water did not work out right, so you probably won't notice any differences.

If you ever wondered why several textures in my pack looked sloppy, as with the one on the left, remember, they were just placeholders.

I mentioned that much much earlier in the project.

But, its all gravy, as look at the end result. Great stuff indeed.

Game Boy. I do not want to do pixelation, which most might expect to see in a Game Boy themed level. Every ripped, pixelated texture in my pack has been redrawn in a smooth, clean style, and this will be no different.

More coming soon!

Hi risio,

Great look! The pivot point texture is a little oval. Maybe if you "squish" the texture vertically it would show up round when in game? Just in case you didn't notice yet. :satisfied

New egg doors.

I'm not sure if the new front carpet is apart of the most recent release, so thats something to look at aswell.

And from the other side of the door. New brown bricks (redrawn). The carpet is next. Actually, the entire interior of the castle is about to be redrawn.

Once that and Tick Tock Clock (or Dot Matrix Clock, your pick) are finished, there might be a new release!

Before and after.

The first shot is the very first screen of my pack from way back in 2005.

New carpet and walls.

I used a HQ3X filter this time when ripping that background from Yoshi's Island. I'm not sure why I didn't do that in the first place. Also, the textures were bumped up from being 256x128 to 512x256.
