  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

ok a problem i didnt found anywhere yet:

installing everything goes without problems, but when i start, the emulator always just loads a few of the new textures resulting in a partly retextured game (currently testing on master quest with renamed files).

so in kokiri village i can see new textures on all buildings, the menu is new but all characters, models like the deku shield and sky remains old.


i know the textureloading at the start should be much longer for loading all textures, it seems to abort at some point.. what can i do?

@Mornx - I'm not sure what emulator or plugin you're using.

But if you're using Aristotle Mudlord Rice Video plugin, make sure you're up to date with the most current version as Squal L mentioned. Older versions will only allow up to 4X original textures.

Run a quick google search with "aristotle's mudlord and rice video v6.1.9". You'll come up with plenty of sites to download the latest.

I try use the plugin aristotle's mudlord and rice video v6.1.9 but like the other version,the emulator load the textures and then crash why? :S

i think the first one is better. on a side note as soon as i can get project 64 working for long enough to get to lon lon ranch and then dump the textures ill start working on the textures if the list is up to date and lon lon ranch hasn't been redone which i dont think it has

I just found theres actually 2 almost identical textures for what I am working on...I will use the same texture for both unless anyone has any objections. I honestly don't know why there are two different ones. The lighter one seems so out of place(the one for the pillar next to the door) compared to the one for the block (see screenshots on previous page)

:p I don't mind about reusing the texture for that since its so similar.

@death--droid--If you're referring to the spiritual stones under Hud\Inventory Icons\Spriritual Stones\Water, they're WAY too low res to work in this sort of application. They're fine for the menus, but not for use in an area texture.

I'm almost embarrassed to upload child link, but here we go:

4 textures. Yup, just 4. Most of adult link's textures copy over to child link, so there's not a lot of work that needs to be done. However, I just couldn't complete the bulk of what was missing - his eyes.

Sorry folks, I just can't do eyes :) I tried and tried. Drawing from scratch hit a dead end fast, so I did an extensive search for some ideas from anime and manga eyes. Most of them are crap, like 99%. But I ran across a couple that were decent. However, that still entails drawing all his eye expressions; there's 7 in total.

We definitely need someone with more natural artistic talent to work on that.

@Chaoszerox - I totally forgot about those crystal switches. I'll grab that one (unless you want it) when I move on to the next dungeon. I'm thinking the Fire Temple unless there are any other suggestions. I've been out of the dungeon scene too long; took a long break after the ice cavern and forest temple. Time to get back to the good stuff!

EDIT: @Chaoszerox - I'm loving those latest textures. Top notch!

Too bad about the eyes. I know a guy at school with some real artistic talent, but he's never used photoshop, or even has it =/

Fire temple sounds like a good idea to me

I think the old version of the Hylian shield was better. In the current version, the lighting effects are WAY to heavy, particularly the top part. also it doesn't match the back of the shield at all

One last request to you Zeckron. I'd really like to see Link's gauntlets done. You did this texture, please correct me if I am wrong? If you didn't don't worry about it, if you did than can you give it a shot at both gauntlets? Once you have one you should only need to change the gradient to make the other one. I can do a dump anytime you ask if you need it

I strongly disagree with it. I think it should be a simple circle like the original, maybe with some nice blending options to make it not so plain, I think I'll give a shot at it actually!

P.S. I went though Spirit Temple with my latest additions and found there are more duplicates than I thought. Fixed dups of the textures I have already done.

Just hacked together the Master Quest logo, not sure if its works properly but it at least has a fixed logo now.
@ Zeckron I've added the child link textures you made
@ Chieftain459 I'm talking about the style of the sapphire not about the actual image itself.

@Chaoszerox - Thanks man. About the shield, actually I haven't made any; it was already in the pack. Lewa made a new back of the shield a long time ago, and I thought it really looked awesome. But I don't think it made into the pack.

About the earring, I think we'll have to agree to disagree :) But that happens. One problem I ran into while working on it, is putting TOO much detail. Sounds crazy I know, but on distance shots having it ultra-hi rez with fine details makes it have a grainy sheen. Almost shiny, but in an annoying way. For many objects this is desirable, but with the earring it definitely wasn't. Looked great on close-ups, but crappy on distance. Hard to describe. If you've got something in mind, by all means give it a shot! Would love to see what you were thinking of.

About the gold/silver power gauntlets: DOH! I'll finish them before moving on to the Fire Temple. Another one of those things that's easy to forget. I think when we discovered we can't change the bracer on his wrist, I somehow let the power guantlets slip.

Oh wow. Very nice.

I never really paid any attention to this project as I was more interested in Djipi's style, but this looks really nice.


Is there anything I can do? Are there any language textures that need to be done? I was thinking about making hi-res German/French/English textures, all along the same style as the ones I did for Djipi's pack, except maybe brown this time to reflect the more realistic look you guys seem to be going for.

EDIT:
Looking at the main post, I'm now downloading the textures that have been produced so far. I'll repackage this into a single archive and mirror that on my site and signature, the same way I have with Djipi's packs, if that's fine with you guys.

You know the pack is 511mb at the moment all up.
I'm not stopping you from repackaging it but i still would prefer people to use my links so i know what there downloading but then it would benefit people who are downloading from scratch so go ahead!

EDIT:
Make an example of the text showing it in and out of game and then well deside if we want that style.
