  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

Yes, it is, and the same exact texture/texture name as well.

I just finished my first version of the boulders. It's not 100% based off the original, except the color/lighting.

The un-perfect tiling you see in the shape of a wide upside-down V is unavoidable due to the way the game wraps the rectangular texture around the spherical boulder. I otherwise did fix the tiling already.

Good job. It may not match the original but it still looks very nice, there is nothing i can find wrong with the texture except that triangle problem but you can't fix that.
What did the texture that was being used on death mountain trail look like?

About to start preparing 1.2 patch for release.
So if you want anything in the 1.2 patch then you better upload it now.

The saves I provide are primarily in .sra format, and some in .PJ format

I used a texture in the pack as a base for the steps, and one of my own for the sides, which in the original appear to be made out of the same material as the side wall of the steps.


it doesn't matter, the textures work on all versions of the game, all regions of the games and the native save files can work on all of them regardless.

2. Rename the folder under Areas/Dodongo/ called Dodongo Hill to Death Mountain Trail.
3. Move the renamed folder to the main Areas folder.
4. Delete the bottles folder which is under Hud/Inventory Icons/Select Item
5.Delete the hearts folder under Hud/

Didn't make the pack deadline

In the pack is a sign I made about a year ago. It's under Area/Unknown. Here is an updated version. It belongs at Lon Lon Ranch and I don't remember why I put M&M initially but it has been changed to T&M for Talon & Malon. Base texture is improved though the iron arm is low res.

@dcs78 i don't really like the mini map idea, I prefer them just to be clean like the current ones in the pack.
And I'm not sure about the rest of the textures you posted either....
I'll have to think about it some more.

im uploading my work on the bow and arrows but the textures tile in a wierd way so it looks kinda like wrapped round at a slight anglebut its not that noticable while your playing

Thanks for the comments guys.
I still want to do graphics for this project here and there, I just don't have the time to be an active member anymore. The forum moves too fast for me to keep up.

I'll start on finishing the medallions. I done a lot of other graphic design between now and then, so I'll see if I can't make them look evern better. I almost want to redo everything I've done so far!

Lol lewa, that medallion is actually really awesome looking--almost makes me want to try to a very modern retexture of OOT after this is done. Wonder if that could actually work out...

sure i just wasnt sure how many times bigger my plugin would let me go so that was due to my n00biness but the original textures were tiny like 18x18 and one was 8x8. if only the bit with the colours and the string were textures then it would have looked nicer.

About instruction 1: You tell them to delete the old logo along with the master quest logo and the effects?

Your plugin should support at least 32x the original, just make sure you do it in one of the following (yes x8 should be an absolute minimum)
8x 16x 32x 64x
