What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

I don't see any of link's clothing in the v3 pack...whats's this with the "(BASE)" , 1.0 and 1.1 patches? Shouldn't it be just 1 pack for all of v3? Can you fix that DD?

@Chaoszerox: yeah DD was having some issues uploading all the new additions as one big dump along with all the old stuff. He posted a few pages back that everything from now on would have to be as patches until the issue is fixed :(

Link's clothes I made, along with the others I mentioned and some of the most recent work by all the other contributors is in Patch 1.0, and the remainder of the HUD and inventory screens are in Patch 1.1.

Sorry, I can't help you on the frame-by-frame slow motion you're looking for. But if somebody knows the answer, you'll find it around here :)

I can't seem to find this function. What version of rice are you talking about and how do you go frame by frame?

Please check here and there. You have to use the debug version of the plugin for this feature.
All versions should support that but for using 16x or 32x textures, DD should compile a debug
version of the latest version of the plugin.

Unless I can't remember correctly, that covers all the dungeon common objects. If someone can think of something I missed, please let me know asap!!!

Next stop: I'll be traveling around the world to clear up any missing textures from all the fairy fountains (remember, I've got all the textures done but the game renames them in other parts of the world for some strange reason).

Once THAT's finished, I'll upload the stuff I've done after V1.1 of the pack.

Thanks double D, I appreciate that! Just hope I haven't missed anymore of those dungeon common items. If you remember any, please let me know.

I seem to recall there being some torches made from the same metal grate used in this one and the one with the wooden base.... They're attached the the wall. Can't remember where they are though. Hopefully, they use the same texture file for the metal grating b/c it's common between these two torches. If someone can remember what i'm talking about, please let me know and I'll go test them out too.

I'll try to have my trip around the world done in a day or two to find all the fairy fountains.

World Fairy Fountians - No Upload Needed?!?!

I just did a walkthrough of all the Great Fairy Fountains and all the regular Fairy Fountains around the world.... All of them show the new hiz-rez textures I made!! It's amazing I know; and almost suspicious at the same time. If anyone would like to double check, please feel free to do so (just make sure you're up to date with the latest V3 pack, 1.0 add-on, and 1.1 add-on). Normally I wouldn't care, but it almost seems too good to be true!

All the Fairy Fountain Locations:

Great Fairy Fountains - Zora Domain, Hyrule Castle, Death Mountain top, Death Mountain Crater, Desert Colossus, Gannons Castle

Regular Fairy Fountains - Graveyard, Sacred Forest Meadow, NW in Hyrule Field under rock, Zora's River, Gerudo's Fortress (the little enclosed area with crates play song of storms), Zora's Domain (on the rock near the entrance on which a zora stands, song of storms).

Actually, despite years of playing this game I never even knew about the regular fairy fountains in the Gerudo Fortress and Zora's Domain... Crazy huh?!

@Chaoszerox: Thanks man! That's my next stop, and I'll check out those torches to make sure they use the same file as the others I've created.

@Chieftain: Good point sir! I'll double check that tomorrow!

EDIT: If those torches turn out ok (or even if they need retexturing), I'll upload my latest work and then move on to the next big section. I suppose that would be the Fire Temple right? Death--Droid or anyone else: any preferences or suggestions on what I should work on next?

I must have missed the link to v3, and add-on v1.0 and v1.1. I've been checking in but didn't see them. Can someone either post links or tell me what page?

BTW- The past few days I have been going through Ganon's Tower and replacing textures. Though I have textures from packs I have picked up from various places, I have now created several. Here is an example from the final hall before you climb to battle Ganondorf.

@dcs78 its alright but it doesn't really work out its best to stick to the original texture as much as you can having ganondorf as the window looks way out of place it should of being kept to the original style.

EDIT:
I was bored so i decided to try and make a texture it didn't turn out to nice tho :(

I keep on forgetting to make the point that I think the Mirror Shield needs to be redone to be like the original. The entire Spirit Temple has the same design as the original Mirror Shield's texture. Not to mention that the light reflected looks like the original. I will prob re-texture the Mirror Shield myself along with Spirit Temple. If no one is working on Ganon's Castle when I finish, I will work on that, which I had planed when I started Spirit Temple actually.

As far as your texture, it's not bad for a first version, but the other texture that blends into it needs to be done with remains of that one so it blends like the original. It's likely that it will not be possible to blend it perfectly, seeing as the original isn't.

@squall_leonhart Thank you.

@Death--Droid Understandable. I generally like to stay with the original feel. As I cannot tell what the original was trying to depict I went with the concept that Ganondorf's arrogance would bring him to build a hall such as that. Also, it gives a good sense that the player has reached their goal as well as a forboding of what is to come. I had intended to make Ganondorf a stained glass but ended up doing a mosaic. I will redo it as such and see if it is closer.

@Death--Droid Looking at the pack I am seeing a lot that I have collected that is not in there. I am playing through and putting in all the textures as I go to minimize duplicates and to find missing textures. I will upload this package and let you know so you can pick through and use what you like and add to the pack what you feel appropriate. I'm trying to indicate what is my work and what belongs to others (whom I have do not have the names to or permission to go with them). I will keep an eye out for these files again to get permission.

Here is an example of some things I completed some time ago that I thought was already in the pack:

@dcs78 i added the treble clef that was in the pack but about the spiritual stones, did you make those yourself?

@Death--Droid Yes, the Spirit Stones are my work. I took photos of real gems and morphed them to fit the original gold frames. Then the frames were beveled and shadowed.

Here is the stained glass version on the previous attempt.

@dcs78 Ok I'll add the spiritual stones in then.
But still the wall with the stained glass still doesn't work out.
1. Stick to the original stained glass idea in the original texture.
2. Where you have used a bevel it should be a indent.
3. The frame should be arched and the texture more stoney like then marble.

EDIT:
Tried some more work on those texture again
