  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

squall i was gonna try that but i didnt want to mess anything up but then again the problem persisted after re-installing project 64 and glide so i have no idea. then only problem ive come across is that half of links tunic is black all other textures are fine
now pj64 crashes every 5 minutes 0.o

I uploaded my 1964 v099 with all it's plugins/settings. Try it out and see if it doesn't work for you

i cant post my system specs atm cos im on my friends laptop but i have an ati radeon x1300 and 1.5 gig of ram and an intel core2duo processor. i was running it fine and everything before with no lag. i can even play fallout 3 on medium without lag so im baffled

intel core2duo 4300@ 1.80ghz
1.5gig of ram
32 bit vista os with service pack 1
ati radeon x1300 with 256mb ram

Not that that's a technical statement or anything, and it certainly doesn't help you in the slightest, but I thought I should put that out there.

Nice work. About the stretching, I really don't know which is better, the old stretching or the new.

I've done a bit of work, no re-texturing, but I've figured out the textures of hard-to-find-out textures. These include....
  1. Link's feet shadow
  2. Link's tunic sholder
  3. Link's tunic top (not including the sholder or the collar)
  4. Link's tunic bottom and, strangely part of the hat
  5. Link's earring
  6. 2 textures on the blast of energy released in a circle when the charged sword is unleashed
  7. Navi's fairy dust that she trails around when she moves
  8. The outer-most glow of Navi's body
  9. The flame of the wall torches, maybe others as well

More to come soon...

Yeah I'm using 7 and it's pretty much awesome. IE keeps crashing, though, so get firefox for now.

Sorry I haven't been around, guys. Been interested in...other forms of graphic design.

About Link's textures, you talking adult link or child link? I've already retextured all of adult link's clothes (every single one, his ears and also earrings), which includes a couple of child link's as well (kicking myself for not working on child link now, but somehow i forgot about that).

DD seemed pleased with them and added them to the pack, but if you're not then by all means let's see what you had in mind. The file used for the bottom part of his tunic (the skirt part) is used for the top of his hat too strange enough. I originally wanted his tunic to look like leather scale armor, but with all the stretch points all over his body it was just impossible. Plus, it would look goofy having a leather scale armor hat XD

I finished Navi's wings and fairy dusty sparkles about the same time too, which is in the pack. But I never did find Link's shadows of his feet. That would be an cool project for you, b/c I know you could make them look better but it would also be a fun challenge.

Oh and about the flames: they **really** need to be re-done along with those damage effects you were working on earlier. Would LOVE to see that too!

I don't see any of link's clothing in the v3 pack...whats's this with the "(BASE)" , 1.0 and 1.1 patches? Shouldn't it be just 1 pack for all of v3? Can you fix that DD?

Out of the textures I found, from what I gather all but these have been done

  1. 2 textures on the blast of energy released in a circle when the charged sword is unleashed
  2. The flame of the wall torches, maybe others as well
Also 1 sky texture hasn't been done, and that is the darkened sky when you are near the castle/etc. as adult link

P.S. is there any emu that can record every frame as a video file? some of these effects i want to work on are displayed soooooo fast...Lowering the FPS to it's lowest, which is like 1/4th speed isn't always enough..(1964 emu)

Yes. Use the debug version of Rice-Plugin. It allows you to trace by frame.
