No offense to the guy who made the original post, but I can't stand people who can't communicate in a mature way. How would anyone take his opinion seriously when he can't even spell half the stuff he is typing (even if intentional). Sorry but that wouldn't exactly be my star witness when trying to prove a point.
Well, that's just Nevermore's style. Ask anyone at NGEmu that's familiar with him, and they'll tell you he's a little different. I don't discredit his opinion just because of his style of posting. He stood in line for hours, bought the system, and gave an honest opinion (even if it was a bit heavy on the joking side). I'm not using him as a witness, it was just a post I noticed when I went in there.

That's a fact. All new technology is bound to fail at some time until it becomes more mainstream. That's the way with everything - and if you can't see it, why, then you must be blind! Gee, I wonder why a Microsoft Xbox 360 MELTED when it was a version purchased shortly after launch? And now no model does? Why, I think that Microsoft is finally getting the hang on how to produce the little sucker correctly. Same goes for blu-ray / hd-dvd and mostly everything.
Yeah, well, I never claimed to be a fan of the X360 either, I just said it's superior to the Wii (which it is). And I like that "All new technology is bound to fail at some time until it becomes more mainstream." Hmmm, so all new technology is, gotcha. So that's the science to it right? No need to have quality assurance checks, because companies should know that if it's new, it's gonna break. Give me a break.

No, sir, you must be blind. Many will agree that DVD quality is very good. And like it or not, everyone does not care for HD and not everyone believes that HD is so superior.
Wait, maybe it's because a sit a little bit away from the TV and it's just 28 inch or something. I don't sit 10 cm away with a 60 inch TV. Maybe that's why I find the quality okay.
I use a 15 inch LCD monitor on my PC (not big by any means) and I don't sit very close to it, and I can see the difference between an HD copy of a movie versus the original DVD.

And yeah, you said it best DVD quality is
OK, but if you can have better than OK, why settle?

Once again, your ignorance shows. What can be done with horsepower? I do wonder... it can be spent on a number of things, like better graphics (perhaps this is not the case with this game), larger areas, more complex calculations, more lightning effects or other things like that...
Here's a clue: NONE OF THE GAMES LOOK TOO POWERFUL FOR THE GAMECUBE TO HANDLE. Meaning, they could have probably made a new controller for the Gamecube and put all these new games on it instead of forcing people to buy a new console.

Right. Well, the pay-for-what-you-use is getting all more common. And that's because game creation costs is spiraling.
Actually, because people don't want to pay for things they don't use. This gives them the choice to only buy what they want as an individual. It's like, go to a record store and buy an entire CD because you like one song. Take the disc home, play it, and realize that one song was the only good one on the album. Well, you just paid for an entire CD that has 10 or more tracks to basically get one song.

Hah! If you haven't magically figured it out by now, you are in my book because you're on one of those sides. You simply can't accept what's a little different and totally bash Nintendo (and Revolution) for non-truths like a kiddie company, pathetic games, etc. And why, I bet you haven't even tested the console yet!
Your book, huh? What book is that? That the one that anyone who has a different opinion than you winds up in? If so, cool.

As for testing the console, I probably never will. Nothing it offers appeals to me, so I have a complete lack of interest in even giving it a second look.

I'm not counting on that happening, don't worry...
Which then puts your "hypothesis" to rest.
