Maybe, project64 authors should consider making a logo contest

Very nice one, jahra!n !
Two things I would play with, if you don't mind the interference:
- the P is "broken" as in de PD logo. Good thing but looks like a pseudo "F", I try breaking like in the pic attached.
- making a 2D version of the logo, to be more "formal".

You see? My second(i think) logo which represented a P and a J seemes to have inspired them so SWAT_Marc(it ain't a insult, it's more like a brag SWAT)

Thats why I only did that one image I made.....I mentioned in the post I was gonna work on something else, but as I kept up with the thread, I was starting to notice this had nothing to do pj64 authors wanting a new logo, but rather blacklords post in an attempt to credit himself for his work...

So, this really has nothing to do with the rest of us interested in pj64 logo designing, kinda like that episode in the brady bunch.....

Not that I have room to talk.....my one and only attempt was crap anyway...I wish I was on crack or something so I could have used an excuse for when I made that lmao....

I doubt the authors do even want a new logo, but i did enjoy working on one.

Heres some more renders, i touched up the symbol a bit and added a 64 to it so it looks sort of like N64, but it really says PJ64. And of course i have a vector image of the logo too.

Anyways, if any other emulator is looking for some graphics for a GUI or logo or w/e, i dont mind helping.

It's a bit blurry. Kind of too confusing to recognize at first. Try to make the "PJ64" text a bit more "out there", if you catch my drift...

Well i'm still working on it. The best part about it is it's simplicity and that beautyfull blue which i call Kes blue.
Kes=grsphic designer and he's my best friend.

Tips: Dont use photoshop's 'bevel' effect. Its wayy overused, looks cheap and really ruins the crap out of many descent logos.

Very nice, I think it's more readable now. Now a new suggestion :blush: : could it be more "blocky"? If you were to make a 8x8 pixel version of the logo it would be rectangle-shaped, so it wouldn't fit an app-icon.

BTW, why "PJ64" instead of "P64"? ProJect? You know, just wondering....:saint:

Well, good point. But you should remember this emu it's not related to Nintendo (apart from emulating its games), so using its corporate design (colors, typography, etc) would be more a "menace" (in case Nintendo didn't like the use of its copyrighted typography or other things).

So, as everything, it's a matter of likes and dislikes. If the authors don't ask for some requeriments such as "alike Nintendo logos", do what you want.

Of course, you could make a version of the logo with your suggestions.

I think, being strict, a logo with Nintendo corporate style should be done for an emu that emulates EVERY Nintendo console; and a logo which used Perfect Dark Style should fit a PD emulator, not for the whole N64 emu. Think about it, we could make a logo after every N64 game. But, as I said, that would be VERY strict and I like jahra!n's logo (though mine is better :blush: )​

I like the first of these three logos most!
Its great, the colours are like the c. of the N64-Logo and 3d-Graphics look great!

I really like the perfect dark PJ64 style but I also think that the logo should be simple.
