What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.
  • As members seem to have a problem reading the release threads:

Djipi's packs are built for the (Glide64 finale) Plugin. Nolonger supported!
Djipi's packs are built for the (GlideN64) Plugin.
These two Plugins are two completely different pieces of code.

GlideN64.HTC archived packs locked by Djipi are not compatible with use on Glide64, Rice video, nor Jabo video.

Glide64.DAT archived packs locked by Djipi are not compatible with use on GlideN64, Rice video, nor Jabo video.

Djipi has never made a pack for use with Rice video and never will. any packs found in this format are not authorized!

GlideN64 is the new standard and only requires an Radeon 6XXX.
This is a somewhat older GPU and should be readily available.
Do everyone a favor and upgrade!

Kerb's Mariokart re-texture

It's 96.0MBit, I just checked it while running the game. The only thing that isn't loading is the title screen, it's supposed to make it clearer with the new screen correct? My screen looks the same with and without hi-res textures loaded.

I use Good Name Mario Kart 64 (U) [!].z64

Whats your ROMs Good Name? 00.00Mb for sure can't be a flaw on PJ64's behalf.

the alpha layers in luigi's half screen looks a bit uglier than in mario's half at the last screenshot :?

actually nothings wrong with the alpha layers. Its just the resolution messing with your eyes, it wont look like that when your playing.

My game flickers I was just wondering what the best settings are to run this, it only flickers in full screen mode, which is the mode I prefer playing in.

If it flickers turn down the resolution...if the textures dont load check to see if your rom dumps "Mario kart 64 (U) [!]" Its internal name will be MARIOKART64 with no spaces.

As I said on AIM, the parts that you haven't textured stick out like a sore thumb :). If you don't mind I might tackle those myself.

I just played through Mushroom Cup, and I think it looks great! But I have to agree that the missing textures do stand out, like the game select screen. Congrats for being the first one to release a full pack.

Try changing the folder to MarioKart64 that is what I had to do, I also use the "Mario kart 64 (U) [!]" rom like Kerber said it's internal name will be MARIOKART64 with no spaces.
