  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

Yes, it has to be "Wähle deine Sprache" It's the same as "Choose your language"
"Wähle eine Sprache" is "Choose a language"

So the ones I have are PNG's with Alpha, and ci_bmp, so if you have to edit an alpha channel for something, you can. All textures are named properly for instant editing and usage. So the house textures will only come in BMP? Can everyone confirm this?

Kas, very good, I like it, but I think that you should stick with KMan's surrounding wall...however you say it...the dirt used as a barriar of the area...or sumthing.

Sure thing Djipi, i'd aprecciate it a lot :).

Kas your work is decent, but it deviates from the original feel of the game quite a lot, perhaps it's the grass that's chaning it all, see if you can play around with that second grass layer.

I released LonLon Ranch, didn't I? At that time I was having issues with the grass layers, maybe I still am. I just did everything in Lake Hylia except for the tombstone. The water textures I'm using I felt more closely resembled the original. The big problem, really, is that Nintendo sometimes used the same texture on like.. 5 objects, so they all get plastered with what I intended for a certain object. For the grass, well, the grass I currently have best matches with the field walls I have up, and to me the field looks gorgeous. I even re-textured the bridge that goes over the stream. Federelli, my big issue is that the dirt path's going through the field are far too yellow, I'm not too sure how you got them to darken in Kokiri Forest, but I'd like to know. I tried to find a texture that might have been laid on them, but came up fruitless. As for Kakariko, yeah, all the houses textures are in bmp. Maybe they were PNG in the ci_png folder, but it was 4 AM and I forgot about it. As of now I am starting on Dodongo's Cavern. Wish me luck!

Hmm, then again, I'll leave Death Mountain and Dodongo's Cavern to someone else. Dave, I dunno, you should go ahead and start your work. It's kinda hard to get good dumps for me, because PJ64 crashes often when dumping. I wasn't even able to get 1/4 of the textures in Dodongo's Cavern. I'll probably start with Forest Temple now..

Kas, my reply was to samurai2020, but I would like to see someone try Death Mountain :)

Just find that area between realism and the game look. You can get sometimes I good result if you place a realistic image and make is translucent over the actual game texture (stretched at 4x and hit with the median filter).

Yeah, I meant work on Kakariko since I got that dump for you. I would really love to see Kakariko re-textured. Staying 100% faithful to the games original textures when you're hi-resing them is kind of difficult, which is why I completely re-textured the stone pillars at Lake Hylia. KMan, the "wall" texture you used for the field I think would be much more suited for Death Mountain, as the texture seems rather muddy. Not muddy in that it's blurry or anything, just that the rock/dirt looks like dry mud to me. And I have a question to whoever is in the position to answer it; is anyone gonna re-do enemy textures?

back with dungeon map

i have a problem, in all the dumps from dungeon map i can´t modifiy the "fill" of a map only the figure. someone has a dump of the texture of the map cause i want to put the textures from the image that you can see with the screenshot

look i tried to make it so it looks like the picture below, what do you think?

I've see that my heart and the Federelli one have some small problems, I thought I can do better (and more faithfull) that why I remake this one more time, and now it look better for me, and you ? :p

sorry for my bad explanation, here's the problem:

i have dumps from the dungeon map (deku tree) i modify the "floor" in the maps with a texture but it only shows as only one color (then the map looked filled with one color), so any texture added is plain color once you modified the dump (and blue cyan color only by the way). So i thought that it has to be a dump of a different type (rgb, vertexes,other) that´s what i need someone who can help with that kind of dump

what you can see on the screenshot are only shapes with different opacity put to look like the image
