What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

oh, i thought that was what Djipi was doing? didnt he retexture everything?

Well if not.. do it, a delay of the pack isn't really that bad because Orkin hasn't released anything (to the public) yet

This thread hasn't been around for 3 years... since Feb 2004.
No, it's been around since April 2005. February 2004 is when Djipi joined up. Rice's plugin (with the retexturing abilities) only appeared around Feb of THIS year, so it's really quite impossible for that date to be correct.

Anyway, Good Job El Kameleon! That stuff is much better than mine, and is almost to a Djipi level. Excellent!

Thanks, i'm trying hard, but I dont think I could get to a Djipi level, having only internet picture of wind waker for references :getlost: I knew I shouldn't of got rid of my cube. Plus, i'm not that great at photoshop, I could definately use some classes. the way I do things now is just way too inefficient, but end up getting done anyways. Right now i'm working on getting Link ready for cell shaded goodness. He's turning out well, just have his facial expressions left to do. :S

El Kameleon, let us know if you need any Wind Waker screenshots of any of the NPCs. I, and I'm sure many others, would be more than willing to post shots from the game.

Alright!!!! I think i've finally finished child links textures, and is ready for the cell shading plugin. So if Djipi would like to try them out and post some screens, that'd be sweet ;) heres some screens:

No offense but I believe Link is done and is pretty good. You need to work on the really un-important characters, because I don't think Djipi got them. People like the construction workers in Kakariko or the people in the Market Place in Hyrule.

Maybe Djipi could shed some light on what exactly wasn't done (and wasn't planned on being done).

why is it that everyone points out the irrelevant? your suppose to be commenting on his face and sheild :p and i never saw that link was done, all i saw was that one pic where someone put WW eyes on link :S anyways, I need the practice to get good at it, so i can get a process going for the characters, otherwise it'll take me forever. and i think link turned out awesome, at least in the face.

I'm pretty sure any characters that Djipi hasn't done are just because they couldn't be done. A lot of the design on the characters are part of the model, there isn't a lot of texturing going on there.

El Kameleon: The textures actually are in the first pack. Djipi did them, however they aren't relly all that cel-shady so it's no real loss.

Interesting question...

Hey guys...

Don't you think that MAYBE Djipi could... you know... privilege this forum users when he actually release the high-res pack? Because, IMHO, when this get famous, it will be on the covers of gaming magazines (seriously...)... Even Nintendo might be aware of its existance... Many people is going to have it, just by downloading it through a publicized link.

But, we, the forum users, who have been around for such a long time, waiting, and, some of us, even helping its development, could have a little bonus!

Maybe I'm being too selfish but, you know...

Regards.

Do you mean put the forum name emutalk.net into the ending credits or something?
LOL i doubt that this will b on the front of magazines :p, even though it should be :bouncy:.

You are right, I accidently looked at Djipi's join date instead of the post date. Still the point remains the same. This thread hasn't been around for 3 years.

RolodeX I think that is selfish and that feels like people who didn't work on the pack trying to get some credit for doing so.

HEY!

I don't want to have my name on the credits. That's not what I meant...

What I was trying to say is, that maybe he could let the users of this forum to download first, or something like that...

I would never want to take the credit for something I didn't do. I didn't work in the project, so it doesn't make any sense.
