What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

It really is getting old reading "is it done yet?" every day. Give the guy a break. Most of you have no idea how long it takes to do this stuff.

The dave i must admit your lens of truth and your bombchu is beautifull. Can you send me this?
And i have a request , can you remake , all quivers (arrow) and all bag on bomb?
just a question too , the inventory is near finish now , just one or two item , but can you try to remake the biggoron sword and broken bigoron sword same the original please?

And for all other who say "When the pack arrived , when it's finish....?" , i would like to say , don't worry , have you can understand i will make a FINAL pack but i don't have date for this , there is a big part not release yet (all the sky).

I work on it since april 2005 and i promise it will be the first MOD totally finish(i hope). But the time is necessary.

It's better off just letting him continue his work in peace, rather than having him under pressure with a release date. And I have to say his progress is quite fast and not to mention high quality work at the same time. So what I'm tryin to say is for all those people anxious for a release to just chill and appreciate his work until it is completely finished. Keep up the good work guys :)

sorry, i didn't mean to put dijpi under pressure, It's a little hard to read all posts to find a release date and besides I just want to subscribe to this thread... :bouncy:

Yes that's my shoulder
Shouldn't the Deku Sticks look a bit more like WW Sticks, that are tan with a lump in the middle? I see very little difference in the new deku sticks and the old ones.

Codexing

The Xpaniard
that stick doesn't exactly copy the Wind Waker stick. It just gives the original OT one a WW feeling, which I think is much better than just copying an item.

This project looks excellent!

Everyone who is involved, keep up the good work!

I would offer to help but I have no talent whatsoever...

The Dave, I tried your pack, and it looks great. :D

Djipi: Are you going to retexture the Z-Targer brackets? (If it is even possible.)

Or Big Fish Isle, first time you get there... maybe any point afterward. Not sure.

Anyway, Djipi, I can't say I'm digging the new castle. Textures may look great up close, but there's not a lot of life going on with the stone. Just looks like a bunch of mud bricks stacked together. It really doesn't resemble anything, from anything. It's not Ganon's Castle from Ocarina of Time, and it's not Ganon's Tower from WW. Honestly, Djipi, this is your weakest work so far. No offense, of course, because everything has been stunning, but for a scene that really wowed me back on the N64, there isn't much inspiration going on for that texture work.

Go to Castle Hyrule in WW, then make your way outside, until just after you finish two moblins. From the top of these stairs, just before the hookshot points, use your telescope and check out Ganon's Tower in WW. THAT is some great stuff. We only see it for a glimps, but it is still richly detailed. Don't neglect the walls of the castle, just because players will only see the majority of it from a distance. Get some theme and life into those bricks! That is supposed to be the imposing, and intimidating object of Ocarina of Time. The reminder that no matter how much you set the world straight, you will STILL need to face that fortress, and everything which lay inside. So give the players some idea of what IS inside, even though all of us already know what is inside. :) We don't need skulls or spikes, but some design. Glyphs, or SOMETHING. Something to indicate there is more going on than just brick. Like the idea that the castle itself is magical and dangerous. Ganon's Tower from WW did an outstanding job of this.

Also, consider changing the spikes. I always thought they looked really campy. Not at all inspired like the art and design of WW. You're call on that, however. Since they're just sprites there may only be so much you can do about it.

You're still doing fantastic Djipi, but I don't want to let you get away with anything less the standard you have established for yourself. :D Also... I uh, really like that scene from Ocarina of Time, and I get the feeling you somehow made it look worse. :(
This is a picture posted on Fed's thread, but Ganon's Tower is still untextured.

You took away all the variety that was in there. All the different stone shapes, color, sizes, and designs. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Ganon's Tower in WW doesn't look like it is made from stacked pieces of stone. To put it simply, it looks weird, but there is lots and lots of detail and inspiration in the design.

Hope some of this critique helps, Djipi. I know you can do much much better! You're the best. :D

Market Entrance Done, now onto the main market... Wish me luck...

I know you've done a lot already..and I think it looks jaw dropping, I really do, but would you be able to add an overhead lampshade like in the beta version of the Pre-render Market Entrance?

Here's a Pic:

Can I somewhere download a .rar or .zip file with all the cell-shaded stuff made so far? Because I don't really want to download each single little cell thingy which is posted on this topic one by one.

I've finished Link's house. There are little glitches but I don't know how to solve it, it would be cool if someone can solve it. I've putted the numbered puzzle that I've used to put all the tiles in order and the tiles come separated by numbers.

edit: I can't upload the file

Link would appear ontop of the lantern if I added it. I have to ensure the image matches the ingame geometry.

Oh and here are some textures you could use for Ganon's Castle, not sure how detailed it is, but i'm sure you can find these useful...
