What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

OMG Djipi you ARE god! They really do look like actual texture dumps!! Such dedication to the project I really admire that!

And yes I agree with Googol, show us your process, and we will learn!

my secret?
it's very simple.
Icheck on google for cel shading texture (like stone , wood , fire , ect..)
And i module , i mixed , i transform this texture to make new ones.

Googol

Give me back my floppy face!
I don't like the carpet... and the door isn't detailed enough/doesn't have enough depth... but apart from that, it's great. I like the idea of a blue, more WW style carpet - that design just doesn't sit with me though. So tweak it a bit, and it'll be perfect.

yeah, the rug is a little too realistic for your cell-chaded mod. Maybe a little less detail in it? And I htink the door might just be compression in the pic, googol... Remember, Djipi's screens always have some compression artifacts. Maybe a close-up, Djipi?

IMO the cel-shaded lon lon ranch room looks more realistic than the original! Too much texturing me thinks. Go simpler.

Djipi, I'm starting to dabble in editing a little bit, and my textures aren't loading. I'm editing the ones in the ci_by_png folder. Is this right? Do I need to edit the other folders as well?

Indeed, lon lon doesnt look cel shaded at all, it looks nice, but not cell shaded.

Great job on the whole project btw :bouncy:

No, you can edit whichever textures you want, but they have to be placed in the plugins/hires_texture/THE LEGEND OF ZELDA folder (Rice's plugin searches the entire folder so you can also put them in subfolders or whatever) Some other problems you may be having:
-make sure the file names are exactly the same as the originals from the dump folder
-beta 10 ignores textures that are not the same original size, or 2x, 3x, or 4x bigger. Nothing else.
-as with all textures, ci_by_png files need to be saved as the same type as the original - in this case, these files should be saved as 32-bit png. (one way to check if a file is 32-bit - in other words, has an alpha layer - is to open the saved png and see if you can 'hide' the one existing layer. If you can't, then it isn't 32-bit and won't be read by the plugin.

You aren't being entirely clear about your problem, so if you could maybe go into more detail it might be solved sooner.

I think this is my problem. I'll check the png files. I'm new to this, so I didn't know how to corectly save them. Thanks Toast Siege.

O.K. I saved my textures without flattening the layers. How do I save in 32 bit? The only option Photoshop gives me when saving, is interlaced or not. BTW Djipi, those LOn LON Ranch screens are awesome! I love both versions... Which to choose.....?
