What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

Hey Djipi, I really enjoyed your pack...especially what you did to the fonts. I did find some problems on the opening screen with the zelda logo. For some reason I have blocky print around the ocarina. If there is a fix to this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-minkster

PS: By any chance are you going to redo the English HUD font such as Attack, Grab, Speak, etc? It would look really awesome...thanks again for changing zelda into a whole new experience. I really love it :bouncy:
This is what I was talking about before. And speaking of new packs, I should release my Water Temple stuff later today.
EDIT - I can dump textures from OoT 1.0, so perhaps when I finish the Water Temple I could send you (Djipi) all the English stuff to remake.
I also noticed that in your Kokiri Forest pack, some of your textures were misaligned and/or low quality. Instead of whining about it, I simply fixed the problems. I also uploaded a darker Deku Tree floor for anyone who wants it.
Right-Click, Save As in Plugin\The Legend of Zelda\Kokiri Forest for Tree textures, in Temple de Feu for lava and Arbre for Deku Tree floor.

New Pack! w00t! :bouncy:
Contains - Water Temple Textures (all, hopefully)
- Four Miscellaneous Textures (Hookshot block thingy, OoT-style cel pot, Crescent block thingy)
Amount of Textures - 71 including alternate textures.
There are alternate textures in this pack. To access them, simply go into the folder where my textures are, and rename the textures.
For example - *deep breath* if you wanted to change my new, completely different door to the the old, pretty stupid door, you'd find the new door's texture THE LEGEND OF ZELDA#F705ACFB#0#2_all.png and rename it to something like THE LEGEND OF ZELDA#F705ACFB#0#2_all2.png. Then, you'd find the old door's texture THE LEGEND OF ZELDA#F705ACFB#0#2_all3.png and rename it to the original door's texture THE LEGEND OF ZELDA#F705ACFB#0#2_all.png. Then, it shows up as the old, pretty stupid door in the game. Got that *exhale*? Now, on to some shots.
1. New Wall & Door.
2. Pot & Hookshot block.
3. There is no third shot.
Enjoy!

googol, thanks for the updates, man =) I'd hook it up with some help on redoing some of Djipi and your textures, but my Photoshop skillz are teh suck. Maybe next week after playing around a bit I'll do a wee bit better and help out =)

err... question... can you give a screen of the difference between the lava you put up and the lava in Djipi's Temple of Fire? Is it off by a pixel or something, because I can't quite see it (granted, I'm looking from outside of the game, since my video card is being a little tarded).

I think he attached the same image twice, by accident or something.

EDIT: VVV Aren't the files renamed when you attach them?

Hey Djipi, what's in v0.3? And ragnor, it was misaligned. It was a small thing, but it was driving me crazy, so I fixed it. I'm feeling lazy, so I won't bother putting up a screen.
EDIT - Toast Siege, you popped up out of nowhere! They're the same image, with different file names. I could just give you the name of the duplicate, and not the duplicate itself, but the image is only like, 10kb, and those names are really long. It's easier just to load two images IMHO.

Cool. I downloaded 0.3 and yes, it has french stuff it it, but the new Zelda font works perfectly. For all you English speaking people out there, here's a RAR with only the English-compatible stuff in it. I'll also release an update to my Water Temple stuff tomorrow, as I found several unmade, undumped textures. And I also play music - I play Bass Guitar and Drums. What sort of stuff do you do?

gfx problems

Great work guys, the font looks great! I'm having a couple problems though. #1 when inside a building, the background is jumbled, and#2 Link's body is see-through. Any help is welcome.
P.S. I can't seem to get this question answered, so I'll ask it here...
When i load up a rom in beta 10, it loads the hi rez textures, then I get an error to start video message. When I click it I get a box that says g_pRender is null.
What can I do to fix this? Please help!

I have no idea. Try playing with the blender/combiner options though, just remember what your original settings were first.

No Problemo. The error message certainly seems to affected loading the textures - less than 1/4 of what I see in your screenie is actually Cel Zelda textured. You could try reinstalling P64 or 1964 maybe.

Mollymutt: It may sound stupid, but make sure you're using beta10. Anything else won't load up as many (note.. none of them seem to load all textures right now... let's not talk about it) textures. And I can't tell you anything about the static backgrounds, but I will say: wow. nice.

Beta 10 won't work for some reason. I can only use the debug version. I reinstalled 1964 and still no luck. BTW which emu is better, 1964 or pj64?

1964 for speed, Project64 for accuracy - though the gap has become much less obvious recently. I tend to find that Project64 runs my stuff better, but it's the graphics plugin that affects what you see the most. Rice's plugin seems to have some sort of grudge against you, unfortunately.
