What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

I'm almost done. Only rest to try fixing some glitches.

In other hand, mdtauk, you forgive to put another stool near the left side of the table (see the image above to see what I'm saying, I've putted link over the original stool). If you can put it and change the panoramic image I'll change it in the game.

Here the shots:

Simply amazing!

Sorry but I've seen someone in this topic who have posted in french, I thought that I can, then I have a better explanation in french... I've just said that the author of this mod have acomplished great job, better than the others for me, but maybe he can change all the models in a total cell shading reconversion.
I asked to him if he will change absolutely all the textures, and if Nintendo can start a lawsuit with thoses "mods"(I know that a OOT in 2-D mod has been canceled by Nintendo). Djipi, meanwhile, try to finish this one!

Currently Djipi can not legitimately cel-shade anything himself. That will require the work of a graphics plug-in for the emulator itself. At the moment there IS work being done to include cel-shade support on a plug-in (I can't remember which, or who the author is at this time, sorry), but as of this moment, it is unreleased.

Ultimately, you will have to use both Djipi's texture package and this up and coming graphics plug-in for the full effect.

Regarding the legality... well, none of us enterted a Liscensing agreement with Nintendo, so there are no clauses that state we can not alter the contents of the software, BUT Nintendo does still hold all of the copyrights to the art, assests, and software. Thus distrobution of the OoT ROM is illegal, and is Djipi is utilizing any textures which are copyright of anyone else, Nintendo or otherwise, the texture pack itselff is illegal. If all of the textures in the package are original there is nothing wrong with it, and for the end user, provided the texture package is applied to a legitimate copy of the game it is also legal. Again, since we didn't agree to not modify any of the files in a EULA (popular with PC software) use end users who own OoT can freely modify that software and art.

Distrobution being entirely independant from the above, of course, but this shouldn't be a problem. Regarding the 2D OoT 'mod', the developers were taking the plot settings and all of those fun things which are copyright of Nintendo and distributing them. A texture package can be distributed independant from the ROMs (and will have to be), and furthermore do not require any copyright material be included.

In short, the ONLY concern those interested in this texture pack need worry about is whether or not Djipi will be using any content that is copyright of ANYONE else.

About the English, Djipi is french, but we like to maintain a standard language for the forum. Otherwise discussions become segregate and broken. :D Thanks for understanding.

Boy this is getting long...

DJIPI!! :D Get your attention? :) Great work on the Gerudo fortress, but I feel the inside stone wall texture repeats too much. Paritcularly on the bottom right corners of most bricks. Try getting a little more variety in there. Great job, otherwise! You're getting close to the home stretch. Way to go!!

Silly question, but if you could use custom textures (IE this pack) with that Cel Plugin in development, what would it look like?

Cel Cel Shaded??

The textures aren't cel shaded, nor they produce the effect. Calling this texture pack cel-shaded is actually a misnomer, since cel-shading has absolutely nothing to do with textures.

cel shading is to do with texturing.
is the process of placing a 1D texture across a model in relation to the light source.

the cell-shading it's obtained with two basic things. The first is to review the contour of the characters using a heavy line (Wind waker don't use this method, but the first cell-shaded game, jet grind radio, and other, like auto modellista and DBZ budokai 2/3 are based on it). And the second is putting colorfull and cartony textures.

Like I said before, WW don't use the heavy line method, but it's almost recognized like a cell-shaded game. Then all the cell-shaded of WW comes from his textures and from a lot of polygons that comes with a single color (without any texture, like link's clothes).

The objective of this project is to make OOT look like WW, then the method of changing textures is acceptable to cell-shade the game.

well, that's my opinion.

To Kiggles: If textures don't do the cell-shading, How it's done? it's for a special modeling of the polygons??
