  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I like the torrent idea best too, but no matter what, as soon as this pack gets to someone like myself, it'll be showing up everywhere. As soon as I get the pack I'll probably host it on eDonkey, Gnutella (Limewire, BearShare, Shareaza, etc.), and Gnutella2 and upload it to a newsgroup, too. Once this gets out into the wild you won't be able to stop it from being mass-distributed, so just get it to somebody enthusiastic and tech savvy.

I'm starting to wonder myself, let me tell you why: Whenever I hear something is finished plus things about release dates... I think to myself - hey, another vaporware contender.

I prefer not to be told if something is finished or when something is going to be released because (lets see how many we have 'er)

1) You will be flooded with a torrent of "When is it going to be released", CHECK.
2) When you don't release it people begin to post hateful comments, CHECK.

Let that be a lesson to all you project developers out there no matter what you do, don't announce release dates or tell them its finished! ;) Besides, i'm sick of reading this thread now because all it is - is questions about release dates so I thought, lets try and stop it.

Flame away at me, you know its not all wrong. :p -

Wow, what an amazing coincidence. :p, Posted only minutes before I posted that. Still its a valid point for the reasoning behind all the "whens it coming out" crud. Unfortunatly he's opted for the least efficient system, FTP. bittorrent would've been better.
