lol, Microsoft buying Nintendo that would be strange but at the same time you can see it, like Microsoft buying Rare it's obscure but like all good theories it has an element of truth (Nintendo courted the Idea with Microsoft), also the pair have a weird relationship, Microsoft games on the GBA and all

Isn't it ironic how the unimaginable/rediculous can become reality in such short notice? Thats a war for ya. I bet if you told a ninty fan 2 years ago that microsoft would own rare, he would probably laugh at you, and then tell you that he will remember what you said later for when it doesn't happen.

fuel: pikmin maybe, (I don't like the game myself, but I know many do) but the rest....I honestly can't think of anybody that plays those games.

Well i've got about 10 GC games... and these are the ones you MUST get...

Super Mario Sunshine
Super Monkey Ball
Luigi's Mansion

those are the only real MUST GET games. Luigi & Mario are good single player games. SMB is the best multiplayer game for a console I have ever played...

I have yet to play some of the newer games (Starfox onwards), but expect some killer games over the next few months. !!!!

However, under NO circumstances get...

Sonic Adventure 2, Extreme G Racing, (and I don't really like Pikmin, but some peeps luv it). Mind you, Sonic Adventure 2 is a good game, only if I could get past the first boss lol. Anyway, I'm selling them 2 games, so If anyone wants to buy them, hola!

Sonic 2 would be great if it was only sonic and shadow levels,

anyway people seem to think this "Great Idea" is just the GBA2 which means light screen, two shoulder buttons, four buttons and a slimline battery pack apparently (I doub't the battery pack bit)

Don't get me wrong, the GC is a great machine, and I will get one sometime very soon. The only point I was making was that there are not enough `must buy a GC for that` titles. Well, for my tastes, anyway. It's not just the GC either, PS2 and Xbox especially also tend to have just one must have game per 6 months.

I scanned though the crap like i always do so i dont know if it was said before but im willing to bet ANYONE that the big news is an early release of Zelda. just think about it, with Christmas coming another "kid friendly" game is needed in order to sway parents to buy the nintendo over the Piss2 and the Crap Box. and with the newer game being an already familar one and a fan favorite, they cant go wrong to release it in the dead of battle season. and THEN they will anounce that FFCC will be coming out in March for both the Cube and GBA and Square will help us out of the hole

and with the newer game being an already familar one and a fan favorite, they cant go wrong to release it in the dead of battle season.

Er, that would work... were Zelda not already confirmed for December 13th in Japan. Releasing it sooner would really make little sense, would it?
I'm stumped, unless it is GBA2. Which again would make no sense to the kickstarting GameCube sales...

You don't know anyone who plays 1080? And maybe no one plays Doshin and Animal Leader because they haven't been released outside Japan yet, but Doshin will, and maybe Animal Leader. Admittedly Doshin has almost no hope of selling well, its just not a mass appeal game.

And anyway, you didn't say that only old Nintendo franchises sold well, you said that Nintendo had no motivation to move beyond them. Nintendo are moving beyond these old franchises, its the consumers who won't.

I don't even know anyone who owns a recent/semi-recent Nintendo console,except myself. And I surely am not getting a new Nintendo console either before it has good games. When I bought my SNES I bought Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Lufia 1 + 2, Terranigma, Zelda 3, Final Fantasy and Super Mario RPG with it. Nintendo64 never came even near the quality level of the SNES, and Gamecube surely is light years away from that. Already the controler puts me off... That damn thing is so fricking uncomfortable. Ok, X-Box is even worse....
