Ok, it is a a lot better then the original but it still looks a bit too blurry and the texture of the wood needs to stand out a little bit more. otherwise great job!
Phillip: Not bad but the original is still far too visible. Why not using a fot to recreate the writing instead of just filtering.
Search for "Hylian 64" on google to find the font.
@Phillip you need to make the arrow blend more into the sign. If you have photoshop try dropping the alpha on the layer with it a tiny bit. The fancy stuff would still be good to re-add
make use of alpha blending. the HRT plugins support it.
A hole where a seed is ment to be planted :naughty:The last one is actually meant to be a mound with a hole in it, you can tell it goes up not down by the way it is shaded.
@Phillip the sign is a bit better but It could do with some more improvement. What you need to do is try and make the wood and text look as one. Put it simply make the text look burnt or chiseled onto the wood.
Here is a great example on how to do that http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/t...holes-and-a-wanted-sign-into-a-piece-of-wood/ Of course your just after the text part of that tutorial.
Good job with the door but it doesn't really match the original design of the door as it misses key components of the original door.

@Phillip Keep up the awesome work!@ great to see a new face working on the project =)
Just a preview wich has stll a lot of flaws
@Phillip--From working with this texture before, I realize that the entire texture comes from one quarter of the sign. So there's really nothing you can do to avoid some obvious mirroring. However, I would suggest using a less varied base texture--a wood image that is fairly consistent in the coloration and darkness of the grain. It will help make the mirroring less obvious around the middle. Also, I'm thinking you may want to treat the markings around the edges of the sign the same way you did with the text. That's just my suggestion, though.
At the moment yours appears to go down when it should be going upSo make the center appear to sink in, not up as it is now, correct?
