I've opened the mudlord6.1.4 file and I'm trying to find the installer in the installer folder. My computer won't open the file I think it is.... what is a NSI file? Am I double-clicking the right icon?

When I try to use Rice's Video Plugin 6.1.1 beta 10 to load the graphics changes I made for a wrestling game, the error message I would get is:

"Project64.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

This appears right after the first screen with my new images (but it didn't load any of them). If I turn off the "Load hi-res textures if available" option and try again, I still get the same error message after the third intro screen. Some of the game's original graphics are missing altogether, with PJ64 showing only a black space instead.

I suppose it could be the plugin not being set correctly, but I don't think so. Would a DX redist help, as someone suggested?

Thanks!

Hi gitech, good to see you back again. Right, your link points to a wrong file.
I found the right link in the pm I sent you some time ago.

Download the fix here. (I hope that motivates people to work on the plugin again)

@lekythos: Someone has to compile the source code I linked some posts ago. I'm positive that will fix your problems. Unfortunately I don't have access to my computer atm as I'm doing my thesis abroad. Thus I don't have access to a dev IDE neither. Therefore I'm also unable to publish any source code for the moment as everything is on my private pc.

And yes, installing the runtime files will also be necessary.

Thank you, microdev. I'll certainly keep my eyeballs on this thread for the latest from you, gitech and the rest of the Emutalk gang.

Oh, and are you currently abroad? That's so cool! It's something that I regret not doing. There's still time, I suppose...

Thanks again for all your help. I'll be so glad when everything's running like it used to be.

@death--droid: As I wrote in my posts, I will release the code but don't have access to my home pc atm, simply because I'm abroad doing my thesis that will last at least till end of September.

The link to the CRC-slowdown fix I copied from a PM, I sent to gitech quite some time ago.

There are some textures that dump as full screen textures, and the plugin will not load redone versions.

Hey everyone. I've been gone for a long time..I moved to Texas from California, like 2 and a half months ago, I have a full time job right now, and as of this very moment I'm very sick. lol Anyway, I've had no time to do anything with the project, and quite frankly..I forgot about it. :( I've had major life stuff and stress on me, so I hope ya'll understand.

Anyway, yes, go ahead and do whatever it is that I read about in the past posts..Oddly I can't remember. And that's great about the CRC fix. I'm going to join the Google Code thing momentarily.

Perhaps on my spare time, I'll try doing stuff with the plugin, but for now, it's mostly in you guy's hands. I have my life in mine basically.. XD

Edit: Umm..I can't figure out how to join..lmao, so someone please add me to the google source thing: [email protected]

Why Death-Droid don't added Aristotle at Google Code project page yet?

Emutalk is BACK!

Yay! :D

So, how is everyone doing?

Did the CRC fix ever get released?

How's texture caching going?

Just some words of encouragement!

Have fun and TTYL,

Well on my side of thing we at DX64 are still porting the uCodes into Daedalus, but we do continue to make progress. If we get to the point of the sources being closer together then I'll look at bringing any of our improvements back to Rice.
