  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

Havent fixed the camera yet so dont bother testing it yet. I was wondering if there are 2 versions (day and night) of this background in this top view. If so I will create a day version and remove the spotlight and use the window and door as the light source.

I was also wondering if anyone had the background image of the other view of the room.

The other view of the room is made of many textures. Check out this I made AGES ago. It's really hard to figure out some of the textures, but I managed to figure out most all of them

Re-reading the readme, there are a few typos in it, but I think you can figure it out :p I don't even understand the last sentence though lol
Also their is no day and night versions of Link's room, or any room (I think)

It's a bit difficult to see where the floor ends and the walls begin... Still a really nice model+texturing though!

That image alone. I was starting to worry for awhile whether someone had the kahones to redo the rooms made up of images or not. I'm very glad to see that it's getting done with little to no trouble. Datadyne, you make us all proud.

How did you match it?
I could rip the panorama for you but currently I have zero time to spare.

I already sent him all of the static backgrounds. I made them up for Djipi a while back. BTW, you're doing a great job on them Data.

Yeah, mollymutt sent me all the bg in the game sorted out in a psd. I'll work on the other view when I finish the rest of the scene (fruit bowl, rope, some farming tools).

Aligning the objects are easy, I just use an image pane and build on top of it.

Good job Datadyne, that's looking quite good, the model is quite close to the original which is really good.

It's been forever since I popped in here. I took a quick look at the thread, and I gotta say Datadayne, keep it up man. I thought that the backgrounds would never be done; I had pretty much given up hope on those. Your work is just sexy.

Do the languages still need to be redone? I can do those again this time (promise). I can do the German/French versions as well this time, not just the English version like before. I will not translate any hacks (such as Spanish) unless it is an extremely popular hack, and well-shared at that too (I had a lot of requests to do this before).

I still have the fonts that I had redrawn, the link is still active in my signature.

EDIT:
I forgot to say that not only Datadayne's work is sexy, but EVERYTHING looks good, so congratulations everyone.

datadynes work is great!

Only small critique if I may is the floor texture and those cracks/lines spreading out from the center. The original floor and pretty much every tree I know is just rings. I think just rings would probably look a little better and more livable too. I know if I was Link I sure wouldn't want to drop a fork or other utensil in one of those giant cracks!

Its all your choice Emarian, all you have to do is make sure it fits in with the rest of the texture pack.

Speaking of the texture pack, what's up with the two different fonts for the game in English? Some of the HD text is fine and nice, but some of looks like Windwaker style. I thought we were doing a faithful HD remix of it, not ripping other ideas from other games. Sorry to the person who did it, it was not meant as a slam. I'm sure it was a custom job and not based on anything in particular. I'm just wondering if that part could be slightly redone so fanboys don't get all up in our grill for "ripping off" something from another game when we actually made it ourselves. T.T

@Turpinator, that's why all the text needs to be redone.
If someone dumps all the text for me I can probably do it if Emarian doesn't want to do it.

I did all of the text relating to item names and that stuff, whereas I believe it was mdtauk (was that his name? Been forever) who did the text that appears and disappears when you enter an area. All of the text along the style of the item names are mine, and all of the text along mdtauk's style are mdtauk's.

So two different artists did text. I'm going to redo everything in all 3 languages soon once I think about how I want to do it. It won't be anywhere near as hard as it was originally since I've already redrawn the fonts and I still have the original PSDs as before.

I'm working on dumping as many 100% complete character and monsters as possible. It's actually kind of fun :p
Right now I have the following 100% complete and done. I'll upload them all and more when I have a lot more done, or if I get a request before then.

Poe (found in hyrule field, adult link, maybe other locations)
Peahat (found in hyrule field, kid link, maybe other locations)
Octorok (found in water in various places, shoots rock at passers by)
coco (AKA chickens, kakariko village, most likely other places too)

almost finished with
boss of the carpenters (kakariko village as a kid, maybe other locations)
