What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.
  • As members seem to have a problem reading the release threads:

Djipi's packs are built for the (Glide64 finale) Plugin. Nolonger supported!
Djipi's packs are built for the (GlideN64) Plugin.
These two Plugins are two completely different pieces of code.

GlideN64.HTC archived packs locked by Djipi are not compatible with use on Glide64, Rice video, nor Jabo video.

Glide64.DAT archived packs locked by Djipi are not compatible with use on GlideN64, Rice video, nor Jabo video.

Djipi has never made a pack for use with Rice video and never will. any packs found in this format are not authorized!

GlideN64 is the new standard and only requires an Radeon 6XXX.
This is a somewhat older GPU and should be readily available.
Do everyone a favor and upgrade!

Merry Xmas: OOT 2011 and MM 2001

Yeah, I also have that problem, along with a few other people who have posted in this thread. Unfortunately, all those posts have gone unnoticed. :/
Usually that happens because these packs were created for the PAL version of the game, which, compared to the NTSC version, seems to use different names for some of the textures. It is a really sad situation since the PAL version runs at a lower fps (~17 compared to 20), which is easily noticable when playing the game on an emulator. The dat-files could probably be hacked to work with the NTSC version, but you wouldn't be allowed to publish it, and so far no one has stepped up to the task.

I'm using the PAL version and still getting that issue.

Same here. In fact, Djipi posted the exact version of the ROM for Majora's Mask that he used and I still get these issues along with everyone else.

So, since MegaUpload got shut down last year, is there any chance that any of you fine people could put up the link somewhere else?

EDIT:

For anybody who is looking since the first post links are broken; download it here:

I think it worked fine for me under the NTSC version, guess it's just luck maybe.

These are great, it took me a while to get them to work since there is no documentation for linux, but they look awesome!! Whish there was a pack like this for the GameCube version of TwilightPrincewss...

Is there any chance you could post a short guide on how you got this to work on Linux? As far as I knew, Glide only worked on Windows.

Where did you get that from? Just install either a binary or a release of your favorite package of mupen64plus 2.0, which will include glide64mk2 (or you can just grab the source via the provided bashscripts). As for a quick guide, he already posted one (sort of) http://www.emutalk.net/threads/54776-HiRes-textures-Glide64mk2

Hello. I have downloaded your texture packages and I have been really speechless of the work you have done. It is really a work of art and I feel priviledged to have seen it in person. Thanks a million!

I have a small problem though. I often get emulator crashes, both in Oot and Majora's Mask, usually when i pause the game (enter the Start menu). The crash reports that it is a graphics plugin problem, asks me to cancel or ignore. No matter what I do, the screen turns black, the music keeps playing but I cannot see or do anything else. This is frustrating especially in Oot, because I have to use the start menu in order to save the game, which makes me play dodongo's cavern 6 times before I am able to save my progress. I know you can save via F5 but still the problem persists, even when I just want to change c-items. Any idea of why this might be happening?

My pc is running Windows 7, and I am playing in Project64 1.6. I don't think there is a problem with my graphics card, as it is rather strong. Any help will be greatly greatly appreciated!

Thanks again and grats for the awsome work!

How much system do you have, did you ram patch Pj64?
Details on ram patching can be found within my signature.

You could always try wxMupen64Plus or m64py
