What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

I'm going to answer the questions while I was away.

To Hirez92Jale, I am in the process of making my own project and was wondering how you went about in making your tree textures. I tried myself but whenever I did them they never came out right. If you used photoshop or some other editing program, can you explain how you sliced your tree in half and what you did so you got the tree to come out well?

You can slice the tree in half by playing with the canvas. I'll explain later, my head is full :S

And Turgo, of course you can use my project to start yours.

Great to hear, and having read this entire post I must say that people should stop worrying about where the textures are from if you've said yourself they're NOT copied from other games :)

Hope to see a final release or even just a fix to the link on the first post so I can checkout an alpha.

Keep up the great work :D

The project is going fine. Now I'm texturing the interior of the castle. If someone can find another method of ripping and loading textures let me know. If the new Project64 1.7 has a native feature like that, I think it's worth the wait.

So is Project 64 1.7 going to have texture ripping through Jabo's graphics plugin or PJ64 itself?

I want to announce that the latest Rice version is stable enough to keep this project running. I'm currently working on "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" instead of "Super Mario 64".

Since I just started yesterday, you'll have to wait a long time until a full release, but I will release regional packs as previews (Hyrule Field Pack, Kokiri Forest Pack, etc).

And about "Super Mario 64", I'm re-working those textures. That means, from the beginning.
