  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

If I may speak for the people (Which, maybe, I shouldnt, seeing as I havent been here for more than a month...) I'm willing to wait until whenever, so long as all the textures are in there and there a little to no graphical glitches. While I would enjoy an release of V5 soon, its really up to whether you guys believe its ready. So, that being said, waiting is not a big hassle.
 
I've been working on the Bazaar, finally I got a camera angle close enough to the original background. It's not textured yet, missing the light sources and some objects need adjusting.

d-d, are the shelves textured in the v5 pack? I could use the same texture then for some of the wood, and if not, I could try to texture them.

@Hyperion86 If you give me a screenshot of what the texture you are looking for I may be able to hunt it down, since at the moment I have no idea what shelf texture you are talking about.
 
The texture I mean is the shelves of the Items in the stores and potion shops.
I managed to dump it, the texture name is:

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA#526E240D#0#2_all.png

Is not on the V4 pack, thats why I was wondering if it was on the V5 :)

Great work Datadayne. But performance will be an issue here. We won't be able to include all frames I think. Maybe ten frames before performance will screw up. But this will still look nice.

Anyway - it might be possible to load up an avi as a texture. Maybe some of the coders could tell us if this might be a possibility

@Hyperion86 that is looking really good, the lighting needs to blend a bit more as at the moment the light from the door is quite bright and sudden.
@Datyadyne, I'll try and get around to implementing that image sequence code that some guy made as soon as possible.

@hyperion most excellent! Even if the sunlight were to have such a defined edge, it's the wrong shape :p The door is rectangular.
I think it's needs to have 2 lights.
A main rectangular light almost as bright the first render and almost as sharp contrast(line), but a softer
The 2nd one that would function as a kind of glow for the first.

Also the other versions of the Hyrule shield (like the one seen in the bazaar above) need to match the new one.

Also I just started learning maya 2011, and I'm attempting to model the potion shop in the market even though I have a LONG way to go before I can make anything as glorious as what hyperion and data has made. Been learning a lot from Digital Tutors Introduction to Maya 2011 :p

I have updated the light, changing intensity and angle and it looks much better now. Will try with two lights though,

I have not been able to dump the shield texture from the store, so I can't do much about it. If anyone has it dumped, send me the texture and I´ll fix it.
Also, about the potion shop, go for it!!! :)

@Hyperion that looks a lot better, great job!, the only thing i can complain about is the counters shadowing is kind of a bit to dark as some parts you can't notice the lip (More towards the Goron and Link)
 
Fixed the counter, now it has a more uniform lightning side to side without affecting global lightning.
I have also added lightning and shadows to the front boxes.
