What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

@Zeckron glad to see you back! its sad to see two members who have had major things happen in there life :(, Mode7 did start work on the fire temple so you will have to ask him about it, I'm note sure how much he checks the forum. However I reckon it will be nice for you to release your work :)

Again glad to see you back!

@Seftheserb glad to see you back as well :p

@Zeckron:
Of course they are needed. I did some work like bricks walls lava doors and the burning faces but it's far from complete.Maybe we can chip together some of the stuff. I'm looking forward to see some of your work.

Thanks guys, glad to have a warm welcome back.

Mode7 check out my progress so far with this partial upload. I'm estimating that I was around 60-70% complete at this time. At this point, there were only about 3-4 textures that hadn't previously been approved by Death--Droid (screenshots not provided for voting). Of course things change, and when improvement can be made, anything is game. So if you, DD, and the community feel yours are better, then by all means let's use them!

Partial Upload: http://www.mediafire.com/file/zivjkwmjqoj/Fire Temple Partial1.rar

I was nearing completion of the metal door texture. All I needed to do was fine tune the door knob part, as it was proving to be very difficult (so when you see it in game you'll notice it's not oriented correctly). In fact, the whole door was probably in my top 3 most difficult retextures. I haven't previously uploaded a screenshot of the door, as I was wanting to perfect the door knob first.

DISCLAIMER: I don't use 1964 nor have I ever (Project64 guy). So if there were changes to the plugin that now make Project64 and/or my retextures incompatible, I don't know this yet.

Really awesome work going on here guys! What a group effort!!! This is really great to see!

I've been out of the loop for a long time but I've really been thinking about retexturing allot lately, so I think I'll hang around! ;) :)

Later,
Jay

If "gitech" also contributes to the "Zelda Ocarina of time Community Retexture Project" the universe would freeze over from the coolness.

@Zeckron the 1964Video plugin is just Rice Video, I just renamed it for convenience, I'm going to try out the textures you made now :p

I think we should try and combine your pack with mode7's work if possible.
@gitech glad to see you around again, would be awesome to see you help out with this project.

EDIT: @Zeckron my internet is being shitty at the moment so may not be able to download the textures till tomorrow.

Zeckron, your textures are great. Please post some screens! The only thing I would replace with mine are the burning faces textures.

Thanks Mode7. Screenshots you will have hopefully tonight when I get off work.

Those dang faces...... can't tell you how much time I spent on those things, and I never felt 100% satisfied. Good news that yours look better, because I really feel they're important to the theme of this temple.

@Chaoszerox I would prefer these textures to stay within the pack, plus they are just making a game not making hires textures.

Holy crap, it's Zeckron. I must be dreaming.

*bow to the texture master*

Um... wow... welcome back! To be honest, I thought we'd never hear from you again. So glad that's not the case!

Can't wait to see some new work, but I COMPLETELY understand you starting off at a slow pace--I just went though some tough times, and I'm kinda making my own slow recovery.

Just checked out your textures and they are brilliant, I love the amount of detail!
Tho two files are corrupted in the archive :(

EDIT:
Since the Fire temple is almost done thanks to Zeckron's amazing work, everyone may see another full pack release soon once it has being fully completed.
We also need to see what things Mode7 has made and compare them with Zeckron's brilliant work to see if any are better.
I will try and post some screenshots of Zeckron's work :p
