What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

A few changes and with the original icons on top. I've still got to do the new icons to match and tweak the notes a bit. Yes I know the treble is missing.

Anyway, yay or nay for the background? Probably not the best picture to use.

i think the grass is a little too green, especially being a forest temple, the brightness of grass is dependant on the amount of sun the grass gets.

I don't think the grass is too green I think it looks like someone has laid down carpet. It just doesn't look like grass.

By the way, who did the temple of time? The bricks look too... new.

Mind if I age the temple up a bit?

Very nice

I like the new Quest screen. Though I will probably stay with the one I have (more traditional) I do like what you have done. I'd have never thought to try something like that. Also, in one of the packs floating around are my updated quest gems. They're not perfect but I think they came out well.

This is getting difficult to manage guys, I think what we need to do is set up a site where we can each upload a zip file containing each village / menu / dungeon / etc, that way people can pick and choose what they want to use. That way we don't have to worry about treading on someone elses toes if they have already textured a dungeon, because now there are 2 to choose from. Then the user just picks the ones they want to use.

Do you guys agree?

Its not about version control, its about choice.

I don't like some of the things that some people have done, and I doubt some people will like some of the things I do. Having choice so that different areas can be used. Once an area pack is done, it gets uploaded or updated on the site, and people can download. It saves having to compile packs together for distribution like on the front page.

People can mix and match packs at their leisure, however this is specifically the community retexture project, the distribution centers around that.

i do think a SVN might work.. but that would lead to an increase in size with the downloading of the texture pack since it won't be compressed...

Um...that sounds like a nightmare. If the pack doesn't end up being consistent and unified it's going to be unusable. I certainly don't want to have to wade between competing devs' contributions.

Contributing by taking the piss out of dumb poms who take the internet too seriously.

lewa, the steps in that image of the forest temple looks a little too clean, any chance you can make them a little more worn looking?

You've got that right. I'm slowly exploring the different area's to get a feel for the textures, So far the majority fit conclusively.

I was pointed to

by a friend, and now im wondering why we haven't seen if any DA members would be interesed :p
