thank god for that. nah i reckon things well get better when a price drop is announced/implemented. but by then the cube will be unleashing all its goodness.

its not doing well in japan either. theres no innotive, super monkey ball sorta titles at all as far as im aware of to please the japenese audience. those crazy japs dont get excited about fps (halo)like westerners do.

i dont blame them japs, i was'nt to impressed with halo either, too american for my tastes.
DOA3 smokes anything else out there (terms of graphics). so japan shouldnt complain to much

yeah it's rumoured that Nintendo is going to match the price drop Sony does for the PS2 :eek:

people pay far too much attention to the first few months of a consoles life, when really it means didly squat, its the 6 - 18 month period when you get to see if the ads are paying off and wether or not joe public wants the new box or not

bah, no way in hell im getting this ugly piece of &$#^ ! i have a pc, what would i need with a 'box? that just makes no sense.

to me it depends which way sega swing, cos they seem to be pretty platform independant right now, but as console wars wage on the big houses always take sides, and to be honest nintendo are looking quite good, ESPECIALLY if they can get some killer apps like VF4 converted

Sega seem to be backing Ninty quite well at the moment.. Especially since the announcement of the Sega/Nintendo arcade board project.. :D

sega nintendo AND namco, dubbed the triforce (subtle zelda reference), nintendo may well be positioning themselves for some excellent arcade to home convertions! The quick fix games are something ninty have always missed out on and this could be great for them, namco and sega developing for you a number of exclusive titles is a helluva boost!

I can picture Xboxes filling the bargain bins in an year or so tops. Apparently the boxes from the 190k sold went into building low-cost housing for homeless people.. Each box is the equivalent of a luxury mansion for a homeless person.

hehe, well until they find a way to be able to play x-box games on the comp, then we'll see 2fast;) CAUSE damn, some bomb games are coming out for x-box, and technically, wouldn't x-box not really be EMULATED so to speak on a comp, then what would it be on a comp?

The Xbox has been out here for a bit over a month and I haven't heard jack about it in the media. There have been lots of ads for it, but none of the newspapers/mags have mentioned anything about it since it launched (they didn't even mention anything when it was launched), so i really have no idea how well its going. I might check out the stats, just for a laugh.

yeh that says they sold 10,000 in the first four days but i can understand that with all of the advertising they have done down here! it was and is stiil here everywhere, thats the only thing that will hold gc back, i haven't seen any advertising down here for it. it is like M$ is trying to brainwash Austrialians with their advertising :(
