Using CF=1 doesn't cause a problem with (V1.0). Do you have (or could you get) that version Ogy and see if the problem persists?Ogy said:with CF1, when i select "START GAME" the screen just stays black.

CF = 3 (your setting) makes the game run faster, but it's not the best setting, since Donkey's barrel game isn't playable and some exits aren't accessible.
CF = 4 solves all these problem (even if the game will run worse) while CF = 6 set the barrels ( in barrel game) to have the maximum range.
I suggest to run DK with CF = 3 then, when needed, save the game, change the ini, exit and relaunch PJ64.
Also, "protect memory" seems to work better than "check mem. & cache" but playing the minecart level PJ64 will report an access violation in the graphic plugin.
