For the love of God, how many times do I have to say it? I've not predicted either side as being the winner, I stated my preference for this generation's consoles, and now I've been labelled a fanboy for it. I've listed my reasons for my decision (not that I even have to justify it to anyone, but I did anyways) and I'm told they're not good enough or that I'm somehow misinformed. I know where the titles I want are going, so obviously, it's not misinformation, it just goes against what the majority of this community's preference is. I've said it on numerous occasions, and I really don't know how I can make myself anymore clear on this. I swear, you'd think the only thing people saw me post was my choice is PS3 and ignored everything else. I guess it's true, people only see what they want to see.

Yes, we know you stick to the PS3 for the games. But obviously you've also stated that Nintendo is a bad company and the Revolution is stupid because it's a GC 1.5 and the controller is gimmicky (and you haven't even tested the console yet). Plus you keep on defending Sony and their console even though we present facts to you. Sure, it may be an underpowered console and sure, Sony may be an evil company. Yet, still the PS3 may be the console of your choice and it will work fine for you, but this doesn't change the facts. If you're a true gaming fanboy, then you will accept the facts and IGNORE them because if the console works fine for you and the games you like is there then there's no reason to fret.
But I don't see that. Does anyone else?

They are doing what any other company would for money. It doesn't make them any more evil than Nintendo saying all emulators are illegal (when we all know that's not true, since private code is not against the law).

Yet, still the PS3 may be the console of your choice and it will work fine for you, but this doesn't change the facts. If you're a true gaming fanboy, then you will accept the facts and IGNORE them because if the console works fine for you and the games you like is there then there's no reason to fret.

We have, you're not listening. The PS3 architecture is flawed--it isn't the most powerful console out there; that would probably be the 360. In 1080p, the PS3 will probably fall behind. Linux is castrated because there is no access to any other core than the main one and there's no 3D Hardware Support.

If you think they wouldn't make problems for this site if they coud, you're wrong. If it's more of that Sony is evil crap, save it, because it doesn't take away how good a game or system is.

I got the no interest part, but I fail to see how you don't have the money since the PS3 is so extremely much more expensive. Furthermore, if you do not have the interest, then don't say it's crap. Try it out first. If you won't try it at all, then you aren't a game fanboy; then you truly are a Sony fanboy.

maybe not, but every company does its own thing.

for example, nintendo copyrighted handheld emulation (sorry for using the register, i know they suck but so does my net atm ) which isnt exactly nice for our community (no nicer than sony shutting down lik-sang) and they threaten websites over the use of a word in their meta tags so its not like nintendo are innocents in the gaming market.

and microsoft looked set to sue over open source, thatd be another thorn in an emulation programmers side wouldnt it, i know its not happened yet but who knows, this is microsoft, not exactly the most trustworthy company in the world, who bring you their fantastic xbox 360 which dies in less than 6 months (on average), they say its been sorted for ages, but i know pleanty of people who bought one recently and it still died, one only 24 days after purchase.

Batteries that blow up? lets not forget the XBox power cables that could cause electric shocks which is far worse than a battery blowing up.

Im not saying that sony are saints and angels, they arent, but nor are nintendo or microsoft, they have all filed their share of stupid lawsuits or had dodgy hardware.

But whats the big deal? Because they made some crappy batteries a while ago it means the PS3 is going to suck? i dont see the relevance to a Playstation 3 thread the fact they had some dodgy laptop batteries, thats like me saying the Wii sucks cos the NES had a dodgy cart loading slot, its not relevant, it sounds like an excuse and i wish i never got involved cos i know someones gonna come out with a smart assed reply.

Point is, however, that exploding batteries are a hazard and is dangerous and Sony did it on PURPOSE (it was not a design flaw).
Nintendo is not an angel, but they don't put rootkits on our computers (extreme security problem, not to mention that it remains on the system without your knowledge OR agreement) and they do NOT sue a retailer out of business just because they don't want you to import their systems (why are they regionless anyway, if we can't import them?).
And I haven't mentioned that this is related to the PS3, but sony themselves. What happens if you buy from a company like this? Chances are, you'll most likely get screwed big time.
