I can confirm some issues with Zelda: OOT mentioned above. I'm using Jabo_Direct3D8.
1) White line on Nintendo logo,
2) White screen when inventory button pressed (same moment when subscreen delay problem have been appearing, no image of the background like in Jabo_Direct3D6 and real N64),
3) White square on Link screen when inventory chosen
4) Controller rumbles constantly when emulation started (Jabo_DInput).

It's my first post, i don't know if i attached the .jpgs correctly, sorry
Issues #2 & #3 lasts for second or so. In Jabo_Direct3D6 there are no such problems - probably some DX8 effect (pixel shaders?). So it can be driver problem.

Yeah Gent kept on whining at me to test that force feedback error, and I dithered in finding my adaptoid/+ rumble pak to do so. I daredn't install the force feedback drivers for my PS2 adaptor as it makes everything liable to crash!

I can confirm some issues with Zelda: OOT mentioned above. I'm using Jabo_Direct3D8.
1) White line on Nintendo logo
2) White screen when inventory button pressed (instead of subscreen delay)
3) White sqare on Link screen when inventory chosen
4) Controller rumbles constantly when emulation started (Jabo_DInput).

1) Are you 100% certain this doesn't happen on the actual machine? Someone mentioned earlier that it actually does, and Jabo has the correct effect here.

2) Mentioned here earlier, possible though unsightly fix was fullscreen 640x480 32hz (personally I'd prefer the white link)

3) Not sure

4) Covered extensively in this topic already

Ok, I have Play many Games Now..., These is my summary,
the New jabos plugin have very good compatible, But when it comes to stability, then the prev one is more stable i think...i played conker'sBFD, and it was nice but in the middle in the game i got veryvery glitches in like two secs and then gets back fine again, and It is exactly the same thing in Donkeykong64,

also i was playing fzerox when i was about stating to play, my system crashed, so i had to restart it by the restart button manually..

but these problems dosent happends in the same time or place, they are randomly....

anyway GREAT release :icecream:

MY System:

CPU: Pentium4 2.4
GPU: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro [Catalyst 5.3]
MEM: 768 MB (DDR)
OS: Windows Xp Sp2[full updated]

Screenshots are a bit "funky" with Jabo's latest plugin. Any time of anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, 2xsai, or other options in the plugin may break the feature so try with default settings first. If that fails then try updating the drivers for your video card (I cant recommend anything here since the latest video card drivers arent necessarily the best). If its still not taking screenshots after that... then we might be able to see what's happening if you post the computer's specs.
when i press F3, the emu closes itself, and the "[rom's name] snap000.jpg" is 0 bytes.
default settings, voodoo4, XPsp2.

PS: i will try it with newer drivers and/or in winME...

EDIT: i got it!!
all my tests were done in 16bit desktop color depth (window and fullscreen) :D
it seems that the screen capture only works when 32bit color depth is selected (that was the way i found :) )

You might be able to fix it up by slightly adjusting 'Emulated Height' in the 'Rom Settings' tab in the Graphics configuration while the game is running. Mine is set to 216.

Adjust game ratio to match yours should fix it (does here).

I can confirm that the white line is a glitch. I just tried it on my real N64, and the white line is not present.

So we've got 1 user saying it does exist on the N64, and another saying it doesn't. Either it's a region or version difference, or one of you is a liar ;) If it's the latter feel free to own up via PM.

emu4ever -> my Video Card: GeForce FX 5200 (+ some relatively old drivers) :)

About this problem with Nintendo logo. I do not own N64 console, but i'm pretty sure that Rice's Plug emulates this part best. Compare:
1-2) Jabo's DX6
3-4) Jabo's DX8
5-6) Rice's 6.1.0

There are some moving stripes, visible only when using Rice's.
Still, we need someone with N64 console to confirm this...

I tried all versions of the PAL version of Ocarina of Time, and the line is there. However, on my real N64, my PAL Ocarina of Time doesn't display the line.

Wow great thing they are still working on it!
Thanks Jabo and Zimlar! Even tho i really havent been in n64 emulation for a while now, i still do appreciate it. Also thnx to Rice for keeping the n64 scene still going.
Let me add that dropping this release on the 1st of April was a stroke of (more) genius!

the 1.6version is amazing, tarzan in full speed and with sound(though overall not very perfect, may with minor unwanted noise, the speeches are good!), toy story 2 runs much smoother, papermario almost perfect(I didn't play in-deep), though I haven't played a single game on the new pj64 longer than 1 hour, I did run many games to see improvements, the emulator didn't crash at all and quite stable. please note that i'm using win98

You need to post your specs when you make a report like that. As it is I checked back your old posts - you're using a Radeon Mobility? If so I can only think of trying the legacy pipeline see if that helps - and/or using different drivers.

Laptop cards tend to have some interesting quirks in them.

gasp..

yo Trott!

WXP Home SP2, DirectX 9. ATI Rage Mobility, AMDAthlon 1GHz, 256MB

sadly legacy pipeline doesn't work :(

lemme try t'morrow in my office's desktop

Wow, this new release came unexpected! Great! The best things in life come for free :p

Shame to see Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon still slows down when moving around. But all the other games that work good now more than make up for it. Conker looks amazing!
