What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.
  • As members seem to have a problem reading the release threads:

Djipi's packs are built for the (Glide64 finale) Plugin. Nolonger supported!
Djipi's packs are built for the (GlideN64) Plugin.
These two Plugins are two completely different pieces of code.

GlideN64.HTC archived packs locked by Djipi are not compatible with use on Glide64, Rice video, nor Jabo video.

Glide64.DAT archived packs locked by Djipi are not compatible with use on GlideN64, Rice video, nor Jabo video.

Djipi has never made a pack for use with Rice video and never will. any packs found in this format are not authorized!

GlideN64 is the new standard and only requires an Radeon 6XXX.
This is a somewhat older GPU and should be readily available.
Do everyone a favor and upgrade!

Yea I have that, and all the dumps for the menu startup screen, but its split into a hundred some strips...I dont have the patients to figure out the order, and record, then replace with high-rez strips.....unless somone knows of a alternative method.

Great call on the Beta character pictures, a great option for mk64 buffs who want to relive what Mariokart R could have been :)

MasterPhW: He was already implying he would release them seperately.

optimus$prime: I don't know why you complemented him, he did not make it himself.

Cannot get working

I can get all of the other high res textures to work, but not for this game. Some, like the "Time" and the numbers will but the portraits and weapon/items will not. It's odd because Project64 reports my ROM's internal name as MARIOKART64, yet to test this out I had it dump textures and it named them with the Mario Kart 64 prefix. I checked with Goodn64 and it says all is well. Any thoughts?

I think your right, because when looking at what appears to be the same texture between my dump, and the highres one there is more than just a prefix difference. The entire label is different.

What version are you using? I know this was discussed earlier but I am using "Mario Kart 64 (U) [!].z64" I have tried both the original and the renamed textures and cannot get more than a handful to work. I tried looking at my dump, finding the appropriate texture, renaming the highres one to that name and testing that but not even that would work.

I would like to take some time to ask everyone to refrain from posting links to sites that contain roms for its against the forum rules.....we can talk about wich roms have the right internal name, just dont post where to download them. Thanks, and keep kartin'

The orignal is that way too and the texture is used in more than one spot...sooo :yucky: Never expect everything to tile in a first generation N64 game made to overlap and not to tile, because you couldnt even tell at the original resolution.

I need a dump of all the HUD items...then I can release somthing close to being finished. The (TIME) hud picture is now done after touching it up with a pencil pixel by pixel evidently it wouldnt load the transparent pixels well. Itll take me a while doing this to everything on the HUD.
