  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

  • As members seem to have a problem reading the release threads:

    Djipi's packs are built for the (Glide64 finale) Plugin. Nolonger supported!
    Djipi's packs are built for the (GlideN64) Plugin.
    These two Plugins are two completely different pieces of code.

    GlideN64.HTC archived packs locked by Djipi are not compatible with use on Glide64, Rice video, nor Jabo video.

    Glide64.DAT archived packs locked by Djipi are not compatible with use on GlideN64, Rice video, nor Jabo video.

    Djipi has never made a pack for use with Rice video and never will. any packs found in this format are not authorized!

    GlideN64 is the new standard and only requires an Radeon 6XXX.
    This is a somewhat older GPU and should be readily available.
    Do everyone a favor and upgrade!

Last weekend I decided not to host the textures simply because im almost finished with all the cups. I figured that uploading the textures now would be worthless because ill just need to host a even bigger file later, and that file will only have the additional cup. Anyhow heres some WIP with final touches on the last cup and some new screens from special.

I hate to be that guy, but could you modify that grass texture so it tiles better? And is that ground your texture or the games?

I wish it was that simple everything is actually tileable, but when you zoom out on somthing you obviously can tell its not 100% seamless such as you see patterns, you make a seamless texture paste it in whatever program you use and zoom out...see what I mean? As for the ice cave im sorry its the way nintendo modeled the cave the textures I made arent the problem. I think the cave clips and overlaps in certain areas. If you play the game with more detailed textures youll notice alot of things you wouldnt with the originals. There is only one way to fix this and its to allow more than 4X texture capabilities with Rice's plugin, and that im afraid I cant do, and even then if you zoom out enuf youll see my pattern. ;P These are the basics c'mon guys I thought you knew. Oh well mabey this will shed some light on the subject. Oh and dave you dont have to be that guy theres a 12 step program now ;D

Its hard to see the ground from that angle btw. On a side note If I made textures more simpler they would technically tile or mesh better, but that would defeat the purpose of this little project wouldnt it? Besides if you focus on the road like your sapposed to when you play this game you will never even notice silly little things like that annoying pattern. I can see where you come from tho it bothers me too.

Theres not really much you can do with grass at 4X. untill the plugin sapports higher resolutions your gonna need to just deal with the repetive grass or a simple grass sacrifices sacrifices :yawn:

It looks better now. If you have to simplify it some to make the tiling less obvious, go for it. I like the texture for the road, looks pretty cool.

What is up with the timer textures? Looks like there is some clipping going on.

I really just want the dust to feel animated or rendered would be cool if it was actually modeled. If anyone gets bored play with it...go ahead you know you want to.

Can't you shrink the numbers for the time so they don't mess up like that? Like shrink the numbers but keep the transparent padding.

Im not working on the font or anything on the hud right now....so no, but I will get around to it for now youll have to deal with my map textures.

Does Mario Kart even have a font set? From what I could tell everything in the HUD is in its own complete file.

The timers numbers have a set in one file, everything else from what I can tell is individual files. If anyone thats good at messing with fonts wants to give the hud and timer a shot. This would be a lovely surprise.
