i always thought religion and science don't go together but it seems to apply to the christian churches only
anyway, is the message here that islamic religion and superior science are connected??

The Qur'an makes certain statements that led Muslim scientists to understand long before their European counterparts that the earth is spherical.

i don't know enuff about the islam to have an opinion here ??? but it sounds doubtful to me.

im living proof that prayer is real. read the book cross and the swich blade. by david Wilkerson. I did. tried some of the things he talked about. and what do you know. im a better person. all i know is that i am a better person than i would be if i didn't believe in the bible and that is a fact that noone can deny.

It's not a fact unless we can have a visualization of your life if you didn't read the bible. It's an assumption.

u cant say period here bcoz its based on faith, not on facts. just take and example: if u have a headache and u choose to ignore and make it go away it will likely go away. doesnt matter if u accomplish that thru prayer or wotever. dont try to force others into ur own opinion here since u cant proof anything, neither can i disproofe u.

FACT. meaning UNDISPUTED (except by idiots.) Once i read "The Cross and the Switchblade" my life and attitude started changing for the better. no more fights. no more threating to stab people with scissors. no more stupidity in the things i did. sure i still make mistakes in life but i know for a (here comes that word again) FACT that it was not before turning compleatly to God and Prayer but AFTER that my life changed for that good. and im not trying force anyone to believe what I do. im just telling my story and if that moves anyone then Yippie and if not then good luck with your life and your faith.

im not challenging u on that. i have no reason not to believe that ur life changed to become better. also this book certainly had a large influence on u. i take the assumption that u found something to believe in, that gave u moral and ethical values, etc. im not challenging that either, but correct me if im wrong with my assumption. so much for ur FACTS.

however how can u tell that there is such thing as a god? --- u cant. like i said its based on FAITH, u WANT to believe, isnt it so?

well u probably figured out that i dont have any faith and i dont have a problem to say that. u said "point blank period" the last time and i thought it applied on ur statement that god is real.

hehe, i just feel like posting in here just cause, um, my last qoute from my sig. used to be the more you know the less you understand the sig. i have now is just some social adolences crap in my opinion, but hey it can be taken different ways as well Does anyone know any real truth? No, Do people have themselves believe in a truth? Yes, faith, that doesn't mean they are wrong, and neither do the people that don't have faith. I wrote a whole paper for english explaining the definition of truth and how "the text book edition of truth" is the most contradicted thing i can think of

we all know that when animals inbreed that there are deformations. well who do you think Adam and Eves chirldren married and had children with. THEIR OWN BROTHERS AND SISTERS. and their children married cousions and so on and so on and so on till now. cousions are further appart than brothers and sisters and 2nd cousions further still and so on. so after a while the blood line thined out and certain features became less dominant.

i learned in skool how this is possible w/o having a god. its called 'big bang' and it sound very reasonable to me. sorry but i cant agree with a theory saying that it "just was created by a god, or wotever one other supernatural figure" - it just makes no sense. remember that in the past very few ppl were literate or educated at all so they just believed that there was something that created all this.

u r thinking in too short time periods. evolution happened over billions of years to the state we r now in. however humanity kinda "just yesterday" - 2000 years ago started counting the years. now take the age of the earth as comparison. evolution does not happen in a few hundred or thousand years.

and 'the fittest survives' is a small part of this process. remember there were different kinds of humans, namely for example the 'neanderthals'. they extincted bcoz their mind and physical abilities were inferior to the human that we evolved of.

evolution does not require a god. its absolutely unneccessary for science to have a god (is it a man, a woman, an animal -- or a [ur suggestion here] ??).
