What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

Federelli's Retexture Pack for Zelda OOT and MQ

Xenobond

Double 0 Reject
Yes. The pack that I had started stemmed off from Fed's when there was more discussion back/forth between how the logo should look, and not about getting any of the textures for the characters and environments made.

I went through, took out anything that wasn't up to a high standard, and then started to add new content. But, since it seems more people are interested in copy/paste jobs, or simple cell shaded looks, I have removed the download for it.

Yeah, I've read these forums a lot before I started posting here. I think criticism of a lot of the packs that are being praised right now is justified. Loads of them just pick grass and rock textures from sites and stick them in texture packs for games. On the other hand, those people put in a lot of time creating those packs too, they do it for free and do not harm anybody (as long as they don't blatantly rip), so how citical can you really be? Now, I have to say this... but why are you so bitter? I've seen you comment about people being more interested in copy & paste stuff instead of high quality original work. Not everyone on here is a graphic designer and can appreciate what looks good and what doesn't. Most of us do know your pack is leaps and bounds above most other packs around here, and I think you have gotten loads of praise for your work while you were working on it, and rightly so. So why do you care that other packs are getting praise (deserved or not) and why is that a motivation for you to stop working on your pack? It's not that people aren't interested in your pack, or that they don't care about quality work. That is just nonsense. It's just that not everone knows how much time and talent is required for different packs that are released.

Also, from your comment about 'simple cell shaded looks' I kind of get the idea you mean Djipi's pack, which I think is a shame. That is, in my opinion, a high quality pack that deserves praise. Both for finishing and for bringing in something new.

I'll just speak for myself, that I think it is a huge shame that you're not working on a Jabo release anymore. I've considered that texture pack the 'definitive one' and I always kind of expected that it would finish. I'm not going to beg you to continue, it's your decision. Just don't let that decision be based off of what others say or think. I for one would greatly appreciate if you did continue the texture pack.

(edit: elaborated on some things and reformatted a bit)

I cant run the pack. The first time i run the settings menu in PJ64 it comes up with the error "unable to read ini file from disk" and then makes a blank ini file. When i try to go to the textures tab and try to "enable the "Load hi-res textures if available" it says in the middle of window " Advanced Options are not allowed to be changed.

Can somebody please help me?

^ go to configure gfx plugin, and under the general tab, unlclick hide advanced options. Click ok, and then go back the the configure gfx plugin menu, and it should be there. I had the same problem when I first installed.

And now for my question(sry in advance to the locals, I'm sure this is the 1 millionth reqest for help, but I couldn't find anything in search after an hour of looking-hope I havn't broken any rules here.)
Anyway, I have Federelli's gfx package installed with Rice's 6.11b10, and I'm running an amd 2200 with an fx5500, 1G ram untill I can get my rig back up. My problem is, when I go to load Zelda-oot(V1.0), I get one error that states "error to start video" and once ok is pressed, I receive another, saying " runtime error. 'project64' requested runtime to terminate in an unusual way. contact support team bla bla" Is this because of the rom version, or something else? Any help is apreciated. Thanks in advance(and sry for the newbness)

Maybe some textures don't work because they weren't retextured yet. Or you do know that some textures were already edited but they don't show up?

RyanFlemington:

try these 2 plugins:

GlideHQ Update 2 (released today!)
http://emuxhaven.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6490

To install and test GlideHQ:
1. If you used previous version of GlideHQ, remove all its files and texture caches.
2. Download GideHQ distributive (GlideHQ_bin.zip ) and unpack it I somewhere.
3. Run included gltest.exe ((c) mudlord) to learn about capabilities of your video card.
3. Copy contents of Plugin folder into Plugin folder of your N64 emulator.
4. For OpenGL, copy glide3x.dll from Wrapper folder into your emulator's folder. This is important, because older version of the wrapper do not support texture compression.
5. Run your emulator, select 'Glide64 Wonder Plus HQ' as your video plugin
6. In Glide64 configuration dialog, open "Texture enhancement" tab and select options you like. If you are not sure, which option to use, press presets buttons below. Presets do not affect your choices for texture filtering and enhancement, so pick them manually, according to your preference. If you want to use hires textures (I'm sure you want), select "Rice format" as format.
7. Run your game and enjoy.

or updated RICE (by mudlord):
RiceVideo6.1.3.1.rar

Can someone please post a working link or torrent to download the latest Federelli's Retexture Pack version 0.21. Also please make sure it inlcudes the entire pack not just an update. As most people are aware, posted links are dead or not functioning. Does anyone know if the current version of Federelli's Retexture Pack is complete/final?
