Eternal Darkness on Gamecube Emulator...

Hello Everybody, I'm Alpha_1...I live in Romania, but don't worry guys, my English Grammar is Perfect!!! I've studied English since i was 5 and now i'm 16=]

OK...The big question is: Does Eternal Darkness work on the Gamecube Emulator Dolphin BETA

I've tried it on the Ordinary Dolphin and when i ran the Eternal Darkness ISO, The screen showed different colors all over the place like the graphic has been messed up :(
I then tried a different method: I ran the game with the Render Framebuffer turned ON...the only thing it showed was BLACK, BLACK, BLACK and BLACK   :ranting:

This just happened in May 2005...but the BETA was released in October 2005...

I prey it WILL work this time
Please tell me what to do...I still have the game but i never played it :(

Thanks...

It does not work, at least according to CKEmu's compatibility list.

Question: What would you have done if the game worked?

I would play it and I would REALLY adore it (according to the Gamespot score of 9.4)

I read the reviews "12 PLAYABLE CHARACTERS" i said WOW!!!

If the game worked, Agozer, I would play it and never cease playing it...after the review i read, after the trailer i saw, i haven't slept 2 nights!!!
But when i booted the game for the first time on the Game Cube Emulator it showed me nothing but colors all over the screen and did nothing else, no sound, no nothing...

My dream was over by then...that was just a year ago (May 2005) :(

The only thing i had to do was to wait for another Emulator to come...But maybe my bad luck will change into a good luck

It does not work, at least according to CKEmu's compatibility list.

Dolphin is the ONLY emulator i tried on Eternal Darkness...if even the BETA version of Dolphin doesn't make the game work, isn't there another Emulator that makes the game 100% work? i won't be mad if it will have some glitches but, AT LEAST i want to play this game...It already passed a year...i don't want to wait another 200 years, i just want to play the game now :( :( :(

P.S: Sorry for my long post but i wanted to show you how much i love this game...:flowers:

No, there is no other GameCube emulator that would fare any better at emulating this game.

If the game would work, you'd still be soon pulling out your hair and cursing, because the game would be very slow. As a number of people have said before me: You'll be much better off by byuing an actual GameCube console.

GameCubes in Romania? LOL
...Just like ice in the Desert

I haven't even touched a GameCube in my life and still am a Nintendo Fan...
I really love games and the consoles...From Atari, to the late Nintendo Revolution console and the X360 and Sony Playstation 3...the only consoles i ever touched were PSX (just before i broke it at my neighbour's house) and the Xbox when my brother's friend brought it to my father to fix it's hard drive...
When i was a kid, i touched and PLAYED the two consoles: NES and MAME (somewhere in a casino)

To make the long history short, there MUST be a way to play Eternal Darkness on any GC Emulator!!! And i won't give up untill i find out HOW even if it takes me centuries...Gamer 4 Life i'll remain...

P.S: I forgot to mention that i also SAW (not touched) the PS2 at a market... :D

Just another question about this game:

Will Eternal Darkness work on a future Game Cube emulator?
Someone should at least show me a sign that the next game cube emulator whatever it will be WILL be strong enough for this game...

My patience is Eternal when it comes to "inventions"... ;)

The game will probably work almost flawless in 2-5 years ^^. It depends a little how much time the programmers have :p.

"Probably" you say?
I hope we won't be seeing space ships by the time when a Perfect Emulator for Eternal Darkness comes around...:getlost:

why dont you import a Gamecube, is it to expensive?

Well what do you think? It ain't expensive...The real console simply costs a fortune :-<

or you can always make one yourself =P

 Oh sure, LOL... me... invent a Game Cube...ROTL...it will be more like a Mutant Cube :nuke:

I think the point was that if you really want to play Eternal Darkness that badly, buy a GameCube. The console isn't even expensive anymore.

...for you guys maybe...
As i said...i never saw a live gamecube in my life, i need to move to the US of A or Japan to have one...
Our stores don't sell game cubes!!!

Doomulation

?????????????????????????
Import, mate. Import is the answer...
With a little research it could work. And whatever you say, it WILL be cheaper than upgrading a computer to run Eternal Darkness and it WILL allow you to play it faster than waiting for an emulator to support it.

Hey man, my computer is fast enough for Eternal Darkness to run...
I've got:

AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2600+
GeForce 6600 GT with 128MB
1024 MB of RAM
1.91 GHz
Windows XP Service Pack 2

How much more should an emulator ask for???
Eternal Darkness is NOT working, i would really thankful if the game should AT LEAST work, i don't care if it will run slowly, i could reduce the performance but I wanna play it!!! I can't affort a real Game Cube, man :(
I don't have the money nor the position of buying one...

Doomulation

?????????????????????????
1: It doesn't work, as you've read.
2: Is it playable at 1 to 6 fps? Hardly.
So your only affordable and reasonable option is buy a gamecube.
Oh and about your "How much more should an emulator ask for???" statement - very much. The PC is a totally different architecture and the CPU has basically to act as a layer between the game and the PC - that's emulation. No processor today can run a GC emulator at full speed.
