  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

hey does anyone know what font djipi used in the main menu? (the one at the start of the game, where you select your file?)

im trying to create the english version's of the missing buttons.
if anyone has these already can you please post them up?

thanks, mike

I think I have done them, Djipi may have lost them. The font is the one from the original, but it is just individual letters, I put together to make words.

yeah gamer2, Since the pack was added to the game it has become very very demanding on the graphics side of things. I've just got my new 6600GT and I get lag all the time when alot is happening on screen. I think you need atleast a 3200+ AMD 64bit, 1Gb of RAM, and maybe 6800GT/7800GT/GTX to play this game smooth with 4xAA and 16xAF =P

As for me I've been messing with the game....

Who said I was not old enough to be the Hero of time?:

Not quite tall enough sadly :'(

Aye? What growen up body?

Well, honestly, if you're running at a good resolution, you don't need 4xAA (2x usually takes care of notable aliasing at 1024 or higher) or 16xAF, as they were designed to improve visual quality on low resolutions, and at high resolutions just rape your framerate without a good quality tradeoff. Dunno why you'd be having trouble with it though, the 6600GT is a fine card and your system seems pretty good overall... I've run the game with the new textures at 1280x960 with 8xS AA and 16xAF for testing purposes and it runs at fullspeed all the time (much higher if I turn off the frame limit), and my system isn't super special. I acknowledge the pack boosts requirements, but your estimated requirements seem to be more than a bit high since the game itself can be run fullspeed on an Athlon 900mhz system with 512mb of RAM and a Radeon 9200 at 1024x768 with 2xAA and 4xAF... Also, excellent pack Djipi.

Rofl. 1024x768 is not even close to being a high resolution. Not even 1280x1024. AA only becomes almost useless at resolutions like 1600x1200 and up. Don't throw around crap like that.

2048x1536 it´s an high resolution.

the problem with the lag, it´s that the comp. needs to load a lot of hi res textures some times and that ears a lot of bandwith

only for a moment

You can reduce the lag problem by defragmenting your computer.
Since the computer needs to load a lot of textures, fragmented files will load a lot slower.
I think the problem isn't with your new 6600GT. I have a Gforce 2 MX400,
and I don't get lag all the time playing on 1024x768 (its a high resolution for a gforce 2)

I consider a good resolution one you can play at without a load of aliasing and still have good performance. I didn't mean to imply 1280 was a high resolution, just that even at 1280, on a normal monitor, even a low AA setting can do a lot for improving aliasing without hitting performance much. At higher resolutions (1600+), 4xAA can put a lot of stress on a video card and won't change image quality much from 2x/2xQ unless you're on a rather large monitor (HDTV perhaps, or one of those Apple 30" deals), or perhaps standing around looking for it. Anyway, this is terribly off-topic, appologies.

I installed a Router so, now there's two computers in the house. So the new IP to the ftp is:

192.168.0.3

Djipi update your original post, exchanging the first IP with this one.

And again, thanks for a GREAT pack!

192.168.0.3 is a local network IP, the IP to access your FTP should be whatever the old one was unless you got assigned a new IP when you hooked up the router. You may have to forward FTP connections to your computer though. http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm This site should help you out, it should tell you your actual IP and how to forward ports to a specific computer using your router.

Check to be sure you have the most recent beta plugin by Rice. I had similar problems, but it turns out I only had version 6.1.1 beta 6 of the plugin. I switched to beta 10 and problem solved.

EDIT: And for the top of the menus - Djipi only retextured those in French, so for English textures go here.
