What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

u must apply anisotrophic (sp?) filter to fix that messed texture, well from the way I see it it would certainly work

(sorry for my bad grammar)

edit: some screeny on how 3D graphics looks without and anisotropic(sp?) filter
Anisotropic filtering doesn't correct perspective per se. It just renders stuff that's far away (which is not so detailed in bilinear or trilinear, to take off rendering load) in more detail. What you have in those screens is incorrect from a perpective POV, because of how standard bilinear/and trilinear filtering works. of course, the way the plugin handles graphics can affect that too.

But yeah, you are sort of correct in any case. AA fixes the issues that appear with bilinear/trilinear filtering.

but then how is djipi and everybody doing the market place? Is that the only one that works or something?

Those can be replaced, the pre-renders with a fixed camera, they can't be changed. Luckily there isn't that many of them them, but it still sucks.

Get back to me when you can change fix-camera things like the hyrule market entrance or the temple of time entrance. Better yet, to help my project, the Nintendo 64 logo or Main Wave Race logo in Wave Race 64. (Though Why I can't change those I'm not sure)

It was even mentioned pages back. Those full-screened textures are encrypted and can be ripped but not changed.

Things like the market entrance, overhead views inside houses, or the temple of time can't be replaced. They have single textures that are much bigger than any others. Things like house interiors, or the market itself, can be pieced together and replaced, like the OOT logo.

Mollymutt, when you made that marketplace, you made it in photoshop, right? if so, did you use different layers for things? If I can get a psd of the panorama, and that stone is on it's on layer and i can edit it without affecting anything else, I may be able to do something.
NO, I flattened the layers a long time ago. I have a complete panarama though.

Unless you made a realistic 3d model and put it in the exact same postition and took a Screenshot then you could do it.

Why never? I mean, if someone found a way to replace textures, why is it not possible to do with 3d models? There has to be some way to do it, just no one has figured it out yet.

you'd have to build the model in the same way.. but of course, replacing everything within the game would take away the originality of the game.

Im shocked nobody has built a plugin to replace sound and music.. It would rock to be in kokiri forest with outset island music playing.

That would be sweet. And by changing the models you don't necessarly have to change the "Originality" you can simply just enhance the graphics.

The N64 sound format is something like MIDI, so that's even more impossible than replacing 3D models, and as if that wasn't hard enough. The 3D models have to be animated aswell...
