What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

Give me back my floppy face!
Nah, what he mentioned isn't textured yet. The bugs are probably due to his system (i.e. not releated to the HRP), so his seems to be working pretty well.
The textures that are normal are ones that are very hard to retexture, especially the cloudy sky. 2D backgrounds are texturable, but only in the panorama view, not the top view (until Rice's plugin fixes the bug or another plugin is released that supports it) so it wouldn't really be 'complete' that way.

I would like to know how far mdtauk got with redoing interiors? He made an inside for Link's House (which I was surprised to not see) and said he was going to attempt the Market. The exterior shot of the temple of time was amazing (anyway you could repost that at 1600 x 1200 res?).

Sure it's great, but it's still just a texture pack. Things that should be stickied are guides and anouncements.

The Dave: If I recall correctly, Rice's Plugin can't load them or something. I could be wrong.

Rice's plugin can't load the ones with fixed cameras.

For example:

Stuff it can't load: Shot of the Temple of Time, Castle Gate shot when you first enter the market area

Stuff it can load: Link's house, the market

File menu retextures

I've been continuing to update my file menu textures, but it seems like fewer and fewer people are getting the updated packs. I know 50+ got the original but only a couple have one that's up to date, so I figure'd I'd make another post about it.

The current version is update 4, with 22/30 of the intended textures done (there are a couple of those I may decide not to bother with).

You can see the actual info and download the newest pack here.

Also, I'm glad to see others working to add to djipi's awesome mod.

And Mollymutt, you're work looks great so far. If you're having difficulty using a perspective altering function (or don't have one in the editor you're using), let me know as I've had to do that sort of thing manually with stretching, skewing, and rotating before and might be able to give you a few pointers on how to get it looking good. I highly recommend at least trying the perspective command in photoshop (or something similiar) if you can though as it's probably the absolute fastest and easiest way to get it done.

Thanks to everyone involved in this and good luck to all those who are still working on it.

Thanks, but no I think I 've got the perspective down, but I'm having a hard time comong up with a good Temple of Time. If someone wants to take a crack at it, feel free. I'm going to piece it all together again, and hopefully someone will give me a hand with the temple.
BTW what's up with attachments? I was going to send a pic.

Zelda Maniac!!!
Extract everything into a folder like this.
E:\Emulators\Nintendo 64\Plugin\hires_texture\The Legend Of Zelda

I have my Nintendo 64 emulators in this directory.
E:\Emulators\Nintendo 64

Load up either 1964 or Project64 with Rice's Plugin which can be found searching at emutalk.

If you need further help let me know.

Well, I finally finished the market. I think the Temple sucks, but I'm through messing around with it. If someone wants to re-do it, go ahead. I'm off to my next project. I'll have some posts when I've got more done.

Mollymutt, the square looks pretty good, though I think it isn't toon enough (plus compared to the rest of Djipi's work). I think you kept too many details in your new textures (but, again, they look great). The most noticiable "error" is the stone ground which has a clear perspective error.

PS: I don't like talking about "errors" in other's works :(, just take my words as some kind of suggestion :)
