What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

Depending on what photoshop you are using, MollyMutt, I can help. If its photoshop 7, all you have to do is add a transparency layer then a vector mask, (on the layer window its the buttons with a square with a fold in the bottom left corner and the square with the circle inside), then go to "help", "export transparent image", hit next, "online", then "PNG", then put in the name of the dump (try to copy this name to a clipboard before start, then paste it on) This is only for photoshop 7, so I'm not sure if it will work with other versions. This is just the easiest way for me.

Finally!

Thanks Amon and Toast Siege, I got it licked now, I'm still having a little trouble lining everything up, but I guess it will come in time. Here's my first official wip, it's the start of the inside of Link's house. Go easy on me. Now I have to find which wall textures fit where for the rest of the room.

Let me recomend something to do to help with texturing the inside of his house, put numbers over the textures and load up the game and take screenshots then you'll have a little paint-by-numbers for what textures go where.

And let me also suggest you just do one wall head to toe, so we can all critique it and maybe have you tweak things if they look off. Just because if we all felt you should do something differently or use a different color it would suck to redo everything.

Cel Shaded Lon Lon looking excellent as always. Your realistic version of Lon Lon uses colours that are much too dark.

Alright, I mapped out all the textures, and completed another section. How about some feedback? Do you like the way I added djipi's outdoor texture to the window and door? How about Link's Grandma's picture? Do you like the wood texture?

it looks good.

um, don't use grandmas picture because that is a completely differant story. The Link in WW is not the same Link as in OoT and MM. Your copying the style not the story.

Thanks..... I look at it as WW is a very young Link, and OOT is a slightly older one. The same Link, just older.

Dipji, will you release all of your stuff ion one massive ZIP file like what Federelli's done?

Its just, skipping through at keast 30-40+ pages (that's my guess on how long the thread will be once its done, probably more though) of stuff to get it all would be a tad harsh, lol.

BTW, I Absolutely LOVE your work! All sorts of emotions were fueling inside of me when I saw your work! It is absolutely beautiful. Your dedication to this project, as well as the Project itself, is something to be looked upto and respected.

I truly hope this project gets finished. I know you have the ability to make this game truly emulated the Cel-Shaded style with some added Spice of Dipji ;) :).

I'd just like to say Well done, I'm a big fan of your work, and good luck with the rest of your project!!

In actual fact, tWW Link is older than OoT Link. tWW Link is 12, OoT Link is 10.
He just looks younger because of the cel-shaded style and the huge eyes.

it can't be the same link becasus windwaker is 100 years later from OoT
Actually, it's hundreds of years after OoT. Miyamoto's citing was a translation error, leaving the plural behind. Also, the King of Red Lions says so in about the middle of tWW, making it double true. So it's been centuries since OoT in tWW.
Good work on the house. If you somehow manage to fix the tiling problems, it'll be great. Not too sure about the wall colour, but it'll suit more than the original, and you've already started using it, so it'll do. I'd rather you used it than have to start all over again. And DON'T use Grandma, I like the idea of a portrait, so use Saria. If you want to, anyway.
EDIT: Also, don't make it a screenshot of Saria, make it an illustration/drawing, as there are no Picto Boxes in OoT - and even if there were, they wouldn't be in colour, and cel-shaded OoT is supposed to be colourful - so use a colour illustration.

I'm sorry, but the wood really doesn't look that great. I think it really needs some work to make it better. It's like a good starting point, but if that's all the detail you were going to have on it... Well, I guess I'll have to wait to see the whole thing, but... it needs some work.

The fake 3d environments need to be entierly remodelled IMO. Anyone know any 3d artists who'd be willing to commit to this?
