  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

aye i know what your saying ill do a mock sky but someone will have to touch it up in photo shop and sort out the jagged edges and then

if i can just get hold of the tiles for the sky textures ill do it on them so as to see what it looks like in game with the packs i have already

but with out the tiles i dont know how the sky is on a panaramic sence, im not sure if its a box shaped sky or a round one

/me goes to load zelda up and see if i can tell if its box shaped

hi can someone help.....me and my ferind downlaoded the first patch and the building textures and ouside wall textures are not working rite...they are the original textures

u need to have the rice 10 beta plugins located on the forum here) also u need to have them in specific folders for them to work , download this plugin made by federellis from here for the correct folders also it might be worth waiting that little bit extra for the project to finish properly, as what you have downloaded so far is most likely early EARLY alpha stuff but hope that helps

its been discussed but nothing solid as of yet, we need to wait for Djipi, the author of the project to get back off holiday (lucky bugger, but well deserved)

So expect no official word as of yet, also i think that might be a separate thing as that would prolong the release of the textures, but as i have stated, that's for the main man to say and not some person who just wants to do the sky :D

This has already been discussed in another thread. Perhaps you could search around the Hi res section for a thread like this.

Amazing how much attention this is getting on other sites (ZU, Kotaku, Jeaux (sp?), etc). It's a good thing too, cause this will most likely be done long before Fed and KMan and everyone else. Them and myself most likely don't want too much publicity while it's still a WIP, much like this. Only problem is stupid people on other sites keep saying it's fake when supporters have already explained to them (myself included: refer to the ZU forums). I would suggest that this thread take a rest on the two questions "When will it be done?" and "How do you do this?" because people just need to read the million other posts about that same thing, because that's pretty much spam.

please, use the forum search feature that's located HERE, as Amon_knives has said, questions like this one

and also others like "when will it be ready" or "is there an update as iv trawled through 1000+ posts to get here and it just makes me want it so bad" is time consuming trying to find useful information and making it hard for people to find reports about progress and texture help for the authors and no doubt its a major distraction for the authors to concentrate on there hobby

also can people make constructive criticisms and not just post's like...

"i dont like it" as that is reflecting YOUR personal choice and not that of the author and to be honest isnt realy "motivating"

if you dont like something, please explain why/how it doesnt look/feel right, so if the authors chose to they will ether implement some of your suggestions or leave it as it is,

but mainly its Djipi's project so ultimately his choice, so if you still dont like the finish then you can ether start editing it when you get it, or look for a different texture mod that you like [this is not directed at anyone so please dont start a flame war here]

right back to the topic at hand, does anyone have a dump of the sky textures yet, iv searched the forums but no one has supplied a dumped zip containing them? /me hits the search button to find out how to dump them me self :D

One part textures, one part graphics plugin. Since both are currently incomplete, you will have to wait. You'll get all the instruction you need after they are done.

Here's a dump of the daytime sky. That's all I have, but it's a start. There's also a jpeg of how it fits together.

anyway of getting the tiles so you can work on all of them as one big picture, then split them down into individual tiles later once you have the main mosaic sorted out?

right these screen shots are just tests to see if they have that "Feel" that the sky needs,

please do not comment on the misaligned textures as i know, also please do not comment on the size as i also know there way to big and i know the that the color needs sorting out, as stated, this was just a test to see what they should look like in a game environment and ill take it from there

if you would like to comment on them just say weather you feel that they fit with the current game style or not :)

THESE SCREEN SHOT DO NOT REPRESENT THE FINAL LOOK OF THE SKY AND SHOULD BE VIEW AS TEST STAGE ONLY

as there is still a lot of work that needs doing to them to make them right for the standard of quality that this mod deserves

OOH! Tasty! It looks a bit flat, though I definitely like it as cartoony as possible IMO. If it were a mixture with reality it would be a lot less satisfying.

yep im working on the depth at the min, but its hard when working with clouds that im having to hand draw, not quite sure how to give flat clouds "depth" :huh:
